Actually, as it is not that much text I decided to paste it over here - probably better for discussion purposes if we have both texts at a glance. If you want to check out my tumblr apart from that:

As you can see the texts are pretty short and not very in-depth but that's because I can't imagine the tumblr-folks would feel like reading pages of pages of text.
The first text (published about 4 weeks ago)
I was wondering if there is anyone out there who LOVES Ben Linus but for some reason can’t get into Harold Finch?
Now after a full two seasons of POI I am still pretty much indifferent towards Harold. I mean he is nice, caring, altruistic and whatnot - all very loveable character traits in my opinion - but still the overall character feels kinda “flat” to me compared to Ben. When he was injured in the flashback I felt sorry for him but somehow I felt more sorry for Grace actually…
I have really tried to like him, I really want to but I just can’t seem to connect no matter how hard I try. I even tried to pretend Harold is Ben in a flashsideways/parallel-universe or whatever but that didn’t work either. The character feels nothing like Ben. Guess that’s Michael Emerson’s awesome acting but I didn’t expect anything else from him.
It’s not his “geekiness” that puts me off as I like other geeky characters. So what is it…? Sigh.
So, anyone out there who feels the same or can at least understand what I am talking about? Judging from what I have read online so far I am starting to think I am the only one but that can’t be…?

And I just now realized why I can’t get myself to like Harold Finch. Wow. It’s the way he talks (apart from that the character is pretty under-developed IMHO and therefore feels “flat” to me).
Well, Michael Emerson could read me a phonebook in his normal voice - it’s soothing and sexy.
But the way Finch talks most of the time annoys the hell out of me in such a subtle way I didn’t realize it until now. Hate me (even if it’s just my subjective perception/opinion) but it’s some weird mix of mild arrogance, annoyance with a hint of insecurity and self loathing. Ugh.
Awesome acting, maybe a bit too good in this case…
So, Ben FTW and I hope Michael will get a chance again to play a character as awesome as him. Hopefully rather sooner than later. So, now you can hate me ;-)

Well, long story short there is no development of Harolds's character at all, if you ask me. He still feels the same as in the first few episodes of POI.
I am happy for Michael that he has steady work but actually I would prefer if he had steady work on a show that would make better use of his awesome skills (like Lost).
