He looks so fragile, almost delicate, in the movie. Everyone did a great job. The kids, the mom, the neighbors.

Kat Candler was nice enough to let me have this picture: I love it! It's so sweet and I love the lighting!

Hi Edith, did you enjoy OF MEN and MICE in theater? I love that book, Steinbeck was my English theme during the A levels. The Gary Sinise special edition movie belongs to me since years. I visited Monterey and the Cannery road in the South of S.F. and I was so impressed by it. And I love my Penguin book 707 reprinted 1953 from London, with the fust of an old book, I brought in S.F. in 1990, it had a long way to find me Martina

I enjoyed every minute of my stay. I was even wondering whether Michael would ever consider, that is if it is ever produced, playing the part of George. It's almost taylormade for him.

Hi Edith,
you are absolute right!!!!
The part of George is/would be just perfect for Michael. I suppose Gary Sinise`s shadow with his Steppenwolf theater performance did raise the bar.
He is known as a big Steinbeck fan. Like John Barrymore and John Carradine changed the theater territory in the 30th on Broadway and Sir Laurence Olivier in England with Shakespeare, Marlon and Monty with Tennessee Williams in the 50, Gary did it in the 80/90 as far as I know.
But this shouldn`t be form an obstacle for Michael doing his own performance of George. I imagine his voice yelling at George, telling him the rabbit bedtime- story..... omg.
Edith, you are stimulating my imagination
a lot of greetings, Martina, with a lot of visions in her head
