Thanks for sharing that with us. I should dig up some of our stuff. I have a bunch of stuff on tape as well.

Cool! (that you guys found your past theatre roles)
I'm so surprised whenever I hear of actors being difficult or rude to each other.

I think a lot of that comes from insecurity. We had one guy in our group that had actually been a professional actor, and he was the nicest, easiest to get along with guy you could ask for. He was awesome to fellow actors and techies alike, and he was probably the best actor we had. It was more the big-fish-little-pond types that were difficult. Sometimes I wanted to remind them that we were in small town Missouri, not Broadway, so lighten up. I always tried to take it seriously enough to put out a good performance, but remember that this was community theater and we were basically there for enjoyment.

I borrowed "Orpheus Descending" from the library and found the dialogue for Michael's character, the clown.
"...[The calliope passes directly before the store and a clown is seen, or heard, shouting through megaphone.]
Clown: Don't forget tonight, folks, the gala opening of the Torrance Confectionery, free drinks and free favors, don't forget it, the gala opening of the confectionery."
