He did look friendly!
I've heard several directors say on commentaries that they cut scenes because it didn't add to the main story of the film. I see their point; This scene only reiterated the fact that the couple's marriage was falling apart and they'd already shown this in other scenes.
I've seen screencaps of Michael from the Saw DVD special features, but is there a video of it uploaded somewhere where I could watch it?
