The transcript of Michael's interview in the Comics News Insider podcast is coming. The first part is finished (Thank you, Katie). I just need to do part 2.
Well, anyway, I found a tidbit on the
lostpodcast.proboards2.com/, which is the forum that Jay and Jack of the Lostpodcast with Jay and Jack fame maitain. (I guess they are famous in the world of LOST podcasters.) The actual poster was by jacksloststepkid, and I am posting it for you to enjoy:
Here were a few (well more than a few) tidbits and spoilers I picked up:
1. Nothing else significant happened between Kate and Benry on the beach after the viewers left the scene. (ie it didn't get physical, violent, etc.)
2. This one I think is a biggie - when asked about whether the others controlled the smoke monster, Emerson replied that "there hasn't been anything on the show yet that the others did not know about." Wow - very interesting!
3. Implied that in the past that Ben showed interest in Juliet romantically, and Juliet wasn't interested. Also implied that Juliet actually does fear Ben. This is the source of some of the tension between them.
4. Jacob? Who is he? Hard to know whether the relationship to Jacob is vertical or horizontal in nature... Also, there is someone who holds more cards than Ben does and knows more / has more power than him.
5. Poor Michael really had a hard time shaking the rabbit up in the cage in episode #4. (Flummery, I highlighted this one for you.)6. The others seem to be a very scientific people - belief in God / religion is not a core feature to the others.
7. Michael doesn't know if the Others are unnaturally strong, but he has been instructed that strenuous types of things are easier for him than for the Losties...
8. Michael didn't know that he'd be in Lost for so long - originally 3 episodes and that was it.
9. Michael - when asked about why he alone went to the Losties "for Locke" and was captured alone. Replied with two answers - maybe the mission required so subtle a hand the master player had to go, or maybe Benry has some special ability that is as yet unknown to the viewers that allowed him to pull it off alone. (these were more speculation by Emerson than anything else)
10. Benry being out on the operating table will cause an absence of leadership and a vaccuum of power that others may try and step into (mentions frightening characters the viewers have not met yet).
11. Emerson said to worry about Charlie being the next to die - then paused, and said something about not wanting to say any more because he wasn't sure what had aired yet. Basically likely something will happen with Charlie in the early new episodes that will make it seem like he might or should be killed off. (continues to screw up, etc.)
12. When asked if Benry is a Cylon, he asks: What if the others are nearly human, but one little thing different. He also implied that the reason the others don't leave the island might be tied to this.
13. I love that Jay called the Emerson character "Benry" when he was asking him a question - 'nuf said.
14. There is some sort of question between Benry and Alex and we will find out about it in the next few episodes. Jack's question to Emerson.
15. Nikie and Pualo will become more important
16. The others that we've seen do not work for DHARMA or THF.
17. Ben lived on the island his whole life.
18. We will likely see the others in contact with the outside world at some point.
19. A heck of a lot of maybes because he didn't feel comfortable answering directly.
20. there is more than one group of others and this other group was not an offshoot of the current group that we know. (implied that perhaps this group we know is an offshoot of the other group of others.
Interesting stuff - makes me really, really excited to see the upcoming episodes starting Feb 7th...
