If they're killing Ben and ABC has Michael go on interviews where he has to lie about what'll happen to him to keep it a secret, it'll be a bit distasteful to me that they would instruct him to have to give that kind of false hope, or have to work to be vague about it. That would be disgusting; wouldn't it? I don't think they ever made any of the actor who was about to die make any interviews before their death. I read somewhere, I don't remember where, that there is a possibility that Ben is not Ben's name either. So.... Could he turn out to be Jacob? Well who knows? I've read somewhere that 'Jacob' could be an acronym for 'Just another con of Ben'. Maybe it's a hint - or maybe someone's imagination just got carried away. |

I am sure that Michael remain in 4 season... Lost it will be empty without such character as Ben... Really Michael till now does not know that occurs in internet around of him and his character?

I hope that's a hint that he makes it through this season. ;D Thanks for posting this Edith! Sounds to me like Ben survives the finale!!! I will miss everyone who bites the dust in the coming weeks but Lost would not be the same without Michael. I get stupid when Ben is on. Should have seen me watching last week. Geez was Michael good. The fact he is so sincere and well spoken and respected off screen is probably why he can be sincere on screen and completly fool you when it's really fake. What is Ben but a hybrid of the creepy persona he's mastered over the years on screen, combined with the natural likability and respectability of Michael off screen?

what if Jacob is Ben's split personality  lol I dunno I mean it looks like the Others have gotten this far along without Jacob interfering....who knows....maybe he is Jacob, maybe he has a twin who is Jacob...all I know is that Ben is the best thing that's happened to Lost. |

I hope they don't go the supernatural route and have Jacob be some kind of ghost/spirit who possesses people to get a body, and may be inhabiting Ben at the moment. But in that article at the tail section a few days ago, a source told one of their person that Jacob hadn't been cast yet- so eventually he will be played by a different actor, I assume.

Blimey, does he really think people find him ugly? Daniel Craig said something similar when he was cast as Bond - and oh sure, he's not a sex symbol at all.
That new interview with Cuse & Lindelof seems to support the idea that Jacob will be someone new as they compare him to the Emperor in Star Wars - he didn't turn out to be one of the existing characters when he finally showed up.
Great news that Ben seems to survive the finale. They would have been crazy to kill him off anyway, a story like Lost's with so much menace and mystery can't go without a sinister antagonist.
