In recapping the nods, Variety said "For the second consecutive year, “Lost” -- despite a jaw-dropping finale -- was nowhere to be found among the best drama noms. Finale did get a writing nomination, and two cast members (Terry O’Quinn as Locke and Michael Emerson as uber-creepy Ben) got shout outs"

Well, it's the moments with Locke and Ben that really save the show with choice moments with Mikhail. But when you think of the rest of the show: You have Jackface and Kate with her screamy hysterics. All the other characters are not key figures in themselves and the plotline could function without them pretty much. But really Jack and Kate are supposed to be carrying the show and until the very last episode, they weren't giving us anything to really munch on, either because they didn't get the kind breadth they need or they don't have the talent or depth to sustain a lead role. So yeah, when I think about it. I like Lost for the backstories and plot turns, not the character portrayals, with the exception of Ben, Locke and Mikhail.
That's about as good as I can put it into words. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night, I just got home from PT, so I'm off to catch some ZZZZs. Take care, everbody, and congratulations, Michael.

A good part is that the supporting catagories are usually some of the first catagories announced, so we can find out Michael's fate early and not have to sit through that much beforehand.
