News New Cast Members for Allen's Barcelona Pic Source: Variety July 2, 2007 Woody Allen held a press conference on Monday in Barcelona, Spain about his new project that will be filmed in the city starting July 9, reports Variety. "I hope I can present Barcelona to the world as I see it, the same way I presented Manhattan to the world as I saw it with my eyes," said Allen. "I want to write a love letter to Barcelona and from Barcelona to the world." Allen announced that Patricia Clarkson, Kevin Dunn and Chris Messina have joined the cast. Toplining Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz, a shroud of silence surrounds the film's title and subject -- as is usual with Allen's pics. The press conference did at least round out the full cast of the film. Zak Orth (Music and Lyrics) and Pablo Schreiber (Lords of Dogtown) join the already-announced Carrie Preston in secondary roles. She's also got a part in a new HBO series called, "True Blood". It's based on Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series. The books are really fantastic if you like that sort of thing, which I do. lol I believe she is playing "Arlene" which is a pretty big role in the book. Hopefully it will be in the show too! Remember how Michael referred to himself in Hawaii as "Woody Allen in the jungle." ;D Wonder if he and C have met him before this.

He did a PSA that Woody Allen did just after 9/11, if recall correctly.

(1) NYC entertainers know each other, (2) Michael did a video tid-bit for Woody Allen a few years ago, (3) Carrie is now doing a movie for Woody. |

OH BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to visit my friend in Sorrento, Italy and we are venturing to Barcelona and all over Spain for a vacation. Squeeeee! I would love to see him  |
