Yes, I worked full time and faithfully participated in our local theatre either as the prop person, producer, ticket agent, newsletter writer, producer, stage manager, actor, builder of the set, Webmaster, etc. (The only things that I didn’t do were directing, lighting, and sound management.) It was a family affair for us. One of us was always cast in one of the plays. Sometimes, we got lucky and were all cast in the same play. We had a blast together. None of us watched much TV. I don’t even know what shows were on from 1985 through 1998. We were involved with the theatre world, and it was fun. I think the experience made us a tighter unit. To this date, my children, their spouses, my husband, and I are very close. We are always doing something together every weekend. Aside from my awesome parenting skills (yeah, yeah, yeah, ask my children about that—LOL), I think that our theater experienced is what made us so close.

Kudos to you for ALL your achievements!! I've always loved the theatre, but that damned stage fright gets me every time!!
BTW, I LOVE your new avatar!!! I think it's so funny to see Michael all tied up and bloody, having a laugh with Terry!

Kudos to you for ALL your achievements!! I've always loved the theatre, but that damned stage fright gets me every time!! BTW, I LOVE your new avatar!!! I think it's so funny to see Michael all tied up and bloody, having a laugh with Terry! Thank you. I suffer from stage fright. What I learned to do is to channel that fright into the character. Basically, I pretend that I am not me, but the character. It's like we used to do when we were children and were pretending. I use the same technique. Pretty soon, I forget that I am on stage and people are staring at me. Stage fright gives you nervous energy, and you need that nervous energy. Otherwise, you come off flat. Yes, I love the avi. I am not the only one. There are a lot of people who had the same thought. LOL

Edith S. Baker, bones thank you to the both of you. I will find out what play is coming up in about three weeks. I think that this is somthing I just need to do. Edith if you did it with two kids and a job, I must be able to do it to. I get off work about 5 and theatre is only about 7 miles away from my home.
I have to pass the try-outs. I just hope I can act. LOL
