jana was staring at the big fire in the middle of the circle.
while everyone was talking and thinking they would get rescued soon, jana was rather pessimistic. wouldn't have someone been here already? or perhaps she was too impatient... she didn't know, but something told her that no one would come.
'hungry?'
jana looked up and saw a rather big guy with long hair in front of her, he gave her some of the food from the plane and she took it rather hesitantly. 'thanks..' she mumbled.
'no problem, man. I'm hurley. if you need more.. we still got some.' and then he went off.
biting on some roll, jana looked aside and saw a girl her age. she was eating as well and since she was sitting rather alone jana shifted over to her.
she was still thinking that sophie was washing off her blood, she hadn't seen her come back yet.
'hey there..' she smiled faintly 'you mind if I sit here?'

"thank you benjamin" said sophie as ben finished on the bandage.
"are you a doctor?" she asked
"no....." as he got up and walked away. "thank you........" she said but he had gone.
sophie thought she better check up and see if jana was ok. she found her sitting down with some food. with someone next to her. they seemed to chat away happily even tho there was disaster all around. sophie sat down next to jana.
"hey...."

"Oh hey sophie this is charlotte!"said jana."Hey how are you?"smiled Charlotte."Oh you got bandages now!"said Jana took sophie´s arm."Was it the doctor Jack?"asked Charlotte."No it was the guy who dropped his book at the airport, do you remember?"asked sophie and looked at jana."Aww yes!"said Jana thoughtful.
"So what were you two talking about?"grinned Sophie."Just having a little chit chat"answered Jana."There´s some bread left if you´re hungry!"said Charlotte ." I´m starving!" she smiled and took the bread."so you like it here?"sophie asked playfully and all of them started laughing.

jana grinned 'well, I hope we don't have to get used to it.' and bit a piece off her bread.
everyone around the fire was still awake and talking. no one had really thought of making
a tent or something for the night, still believing that someone would find them soon anyway.
but while jana, sophie and their new found friend charlotte were joking about the crash (now
that the shock was gone), some of the survivers were considering to build a big fire for the
night, just in case. jana could see a bald man, someone who looked like an indian or iraqi
and the one with the eyepatch from the airport carry some fire wood some metres away from the circle
of people with their little camp fire.
'what are they doing?' someone suddenly asked and jana turned to sophie.
'making a signal fire or something..' she mumbled, but then sighed and looked at her hands
which were a little bruised from the crash. it was still a miracle that she hadn't been
seriously injured.
however, she ignored those thoughts quickly and looked back at sophie
'so, tell us.. why did the guy with the book help you anyway?' she smirked 'I thought he
doesn't look very cooperative.' as she said that she glanced over to the man, sitting
quite a bit away from them, staring at the little camp fire, until he got his glasses off
and started cleaning them with the rim of his shirt.

"i dunno" said sophie looking over at benjamin. "he seems ok to me" she smiled back at jana and charlotte, then glanced back at him putting his glasses back on.
all of a sudden the girls saw the trees in the jungle shake around and being uprooted, a loud noise was going off too. the girls stood up as well as all the other surviours a young pregnant girl got up and said " Did anybody see that? " the big guy looked over at her and said "yeah" in surprise. sophie looked over @ charlotte and jana they both looked as scared as she was, she then looked over @ benjamin who was still sitting @ his camp fire. "didn't he just see that?, i mean how could he not notice!" she thought to herself.....

sophie looked over and saw jack with a little group of people, she headed over there she wanted to know what was going on.
she walked over as jack was saying "We're going to go out and look for the cockpit, see if we can find a transceiver to send a distress signal, help the rescue team. You're going to need to keep an eye on the wounded. If the guy in the suit wakes up, try to keep him calm, but don't let him remove that piece of shrapnel, you understand?" he asked a young man in a blue shirt. the man replied and went over to the injured. sophie stood there as she watch jack and two other people head off in the jungle. "i hope they be ok?" she sighed to herself
