Welcome Silvia, and don't worry, for many people there English is not the first language (I'm Italian for example), but nobody cares if you make some mistakes...

Hi Silvia1! I'm from Madrid. Do you know any other spanish here? I usually write in 3w.forolostzilla.net. Do you know it? My English is too bad, but I'm trying to practise it here. I discovered this forum 2 or 3 days ago and the first thing I did was writing in the chat. I didn't understand a lot of things and I asked what does "lol" mean (lot of laughts) I like lost, and Ben Linus drives me crazy. Best regards!!

Welcome, Dharmabike!! I love your avi! 'LOL' can also mean 'laughing out loud.' Writing it becomes second nature, once you've posted enough times!! ;D

Hi Dharmabike !!! I have the same problem, I can't participate in the chat because I don't know enough English. For me it's very difficult understand the messages in it (in fact, impossible). I need the dictionary on-line all the time. Be patient my friend!!!

You can even sign up for an email every day with a new English word. www.oed.com/cgi/display/wotdHere's a word-of-the-day specifically for English as a second language www.eslmonkeys.com/student/wordoftheday.php
