just a test to see if the new Mac galleries work. Let me know if you don't see a picture here.

I haven't upgraded yet - am purchasing next week whilst on holiday in the US (cheaper there). I shall be testing it out myself in the not too distant future - so I can use this thread as well.

iLife indeed. Yes, I was quite pleased to see that it works. I had trouble installing, but apparently only with the DVD thing, which I don't use that much. So far.

You might have noticed from my signature that I'm a bit of a Mac Nerd ;D
I use iWeb and iPhoto all the time and am itching to get the 08 versions and try them out. Using my Mac powers of deduction and telepathy I found the gallery belonging to the picture you posted - yours is the first web gallery I've looked at and seen the picture scrolling on the album thumbnail - very cool.

It is very cool. A lot of different choices for viewing and makes it easier to let others see. Gets rid of that whole RSS issue that so many people can stumble over.

ok, here is my iWeb test, now that I've upgraded to the super duper 08 version. Loving the new iWeb, especially the improved keyword shortcut and usage. Well it did work but my syncing has gone astray (thanks to me meddling with the gallery mid-sync!) and I deleted a few pics - this one included. Righty-ho, here I go again.

It looks great from here, Kim. Wonderful photo. Isn't the new gallery feature wonderful? It is indeed. I'm well versed on all things iPhoto now. I use keywords a lot, particularly for my smart albums but they were always a bit clumsy - they are much better now. I ordered some holiday prints and was very pleased with the results. I think I was more impressed by the Apple logo on envelope and index prints - I'm easily amused ;D I've re-done my blog using iWeb as well, so I've had a great look around both applications this week. Next stop: Leopard ;D

I use iPhoto for prints almost all the time, and I've made calendars and photo books using iPhoto. I'm most impressed and they keep improving it. Photocast was so hard to share with friends, esp. if they weren't cool on RSS or XML, but gallery eliminates that issue completely. I'm going to give iWeb a test soon here and then turn to my new iWork app. I could be an Apple nerd, but I'm not that computer savvy. Here's my latest gallery entry. Not such a great photo, but the sunset was so stunning I had to give it a try.

I could be an Apple nerd, but I'm not that computer savvy. Here's my latest gallery entry. Not such a great photo, but the sunset was so stunning I had to give it a try. That sunset is beautiful. We should probably rename this thread to something like "Apple Nerds Unite" ;D I like iWork too - I only every used the trial version when I first got my iBook but never really used it as there was so much else to discover. But someone recently gave me another trial version to use and it blew me away, so I bought the whole package. I am, right at this moment, switching themes on my iWeb pages, something you couldn't do on the last version. Typically, I've changed a lot of formatting on the pages so I'm having to check all my pages and blog entries, but I'll post it here when I'm done. I have no clue about HTML and coding and stuff, but iWeb is so easy to use. Click and drag, that's all it takes. Ok, I've finished updating my site...here it is: web.mac.com/kimholloway/Site/Home.html

Nice website. I dont actually have a website. I started a blog (non Mac site) for my cat, but at the moment we are in negotiations on what the entries will be. I think we've decided that the next one should be about the tail. She says I don't understand about tails. ; )

Wow, that looks great. Leopard is working good. You are brave. I always wait for the 2nd or 3rd iteration. But I have heard Leopard is WAY COOL.

I know :-) It's a resource hog though. I started out with 13GB of free space and now have just over 7GB. I went to the Apple store in London as I wanted to be part of the atmosphere. Apple are pretty good at bringing out software updates so I decided to be brave and go for the first release. So far so good although I have hardly started to explore - just checking out all the regularly used stuff. Ohh you get Front Row and Photo Booth if you didn't already have it ;D Coverflow in finder is amazing - seriously. It's so easy to flip through your files and see what is in them.
