He spoke Turkish in this episode! On the desert, he asked the men, "do you speak English?" then he asked something in Arabic, I suppose, it means "Do you speak Arabic?" and then he asked "Türkçe biliyor musunuz?" it means, "do you speak Turkish?"... So he can speak Turkish! =) It was(to know that he can speak english) very enjoyable. Wow! =)=) And that was perfect, too: "So, you do speak English!" Question: What would Turkish-speaking people do in the Sahara Desert. I should have been, "Do you speak Arabic?" "Do you speak French?" I blame the writers.

Unless, he was meant to be in Turkey? not Tunisia and thought originally that's where he was after he time travelled

Even it was on the newspapers, too:"Why did they do it so?" But i think, he spoke all languages which he knows. I suppose, the men were speaking french, because they weren't speaking arabic. We know that, because ben asked them, "do you speak arabic?" I suppose, ben can't speak french. And if he can speak french, perhaps he would speak french with roussou, too. So, why did he speak Turkish in the sahara desert? It's a good question. to know that would be good, for us so enoughly, the turks wonder it so much.

I suppose that the 2 men where speaking a berberic dialect or something. A lot of Arabs understand turkish even though the relationship between Arabs and Turks is not the best
