Guess I'd better cast Carrie's new family  Destiny Hope Copeland is, of course, a reference to Miley Cyrus, whose birth name was Destiny Hope Cyrus. So here she is:  Lorelai is another Hannah Montana reference. It's the name of Billy Ray Cyrus' character's love interest in Hannah Montana The Movie.
