Sweet! Looking back now, do you see any clues in your childhood that you wanted to become an actor, such as pretending to be your favorite characters in movies or making up your own skits? What gave you the confidence to perform, starting out? I'd be terrified! Out of all the characters you've played, which was your favorite and why? What was your favorite line? Which role was the most challenging for you? What do you do in your trailer while you wait to be called for your scenes? Reherse, relax, play games? What are your favorite games to play? Do you like "Sudoku" and "Scrabble?" Do you think you'd do well if you were a contestant on "Celebrity Jeopardy?" Do you collect the stamps you receive from fans' letters? What was your favorite subject matter to draw (buildings, landscape, people, ect.) and which were you best at drawing? How was your visit to Spain? Did you attend your high school class reunion this past summer? Are you a polyglot? Can you speak Spanish and have you been learning Hawaiian? I loved your portrayal of William Hinks! Very creepy, yet sometimes funny. What did you say when you won your Emmy in 2001? I apologize if any of my questions were too personal or difficult to understand; You're an inspiration to me and I'm grateful that you've been kind enough to respond to fans' letters and talk to them when they come up to you and ask for your autograph. Those questions are excellent! Maybe you should look into journalism

Andogirl17 that is an awesome question!! i wanna ask him that too Edith!! Thanks! That's my favorite question out of the ones I came up with. I hope he can answer it...I'd love to know the answer. Oh... you know he's just going to evade that and be all, "I really see them as the same person... but I'm glad you asked, I really like elements of both" and, "It's really a concoction of editing; I play the different attributes as they ask, scene by scene..." blah blah. Can you hear him say/see him write that? eh. It's a pretty good question; I just think it just invites him to pick it apart.

I know, Michael never will answer my questions. I too would not to answer such questions from strangers. I shall search for answers in his interview, behaviour, in his creativity, in his characters. I very much like to solve a riddle named "Michael Emerson"

Those questions are excellent! Maybe you should look into journalism Thank you! I thought they might come across as being too nosy or obsessive, but I've heard other interviewers ask actors some of the same questions so I thought they'd be okay.

Here's one asked anonymously:
We have noticed that you personally have some scars on your lips. (Lost magazine pointed out that the makeup staff placed Henry Gale's wounds exactly on top of your personal scars. That way, as the wounds healed, there would be an explanation as to why Ben has those scars in the first place.)
If it would not be too personal, or too prying, would you tell your fans how you earned them? Were they from childhood battles or accidents?

Ooooh, it looks as though he was swiped across the mouth with something sharp; I'm guessing maybe a ring...that someone else was wearing and they hit him in the mouth. Maybe it's an injury from working on set, an action scene gone wrong; Actors do sometimes accidently injure one another, even though they've rehersed a choreographed fight sequence.

those are old scars, possible from childhood is my guess. I think that lower lip one continues directly up into the upper lip and into the dent between the skin above the lip, myself. I like them actually. I just hope they weren't from something bad. I'm prepared to accept the explanation that he got them when he was attacked by a puma.

May I ask - Michael has the true friends in his life? (not only his wife). Who supported him in hard minutes of life? It is very interesting to me to know more about his life in New York those years when he worked as the illustrator.

Some fans want to know whether you can name, other than your wife, who you felt were your true friends who supported you during your struggles to become a successful and gainfully employed actor. Could you expand on the days when you worked as an illustrator in New York? Yana, you will have to tell me a bit more of what you really want to know.
