I just watched the pre-screening copy of "Jumping Off Bridges". Kat Candler has made a beautiful, sad, genuine movie. I am so happy to be part of the effort to have it shown on the East Coast.
Scheduled for November 2, 2006 at Montclair State University, NJ with a Q & A with Kat Candler herself!!
I'll keep you posted.

I don't live anywhere near the select locations they are showing Jumping off Bridges. Do you think it will ever be available on video?

I'm sure that eventually you will be able to buy a copy of 'Jumping Off Bridges' from Storie Productions. keep an eye on this website: www.storieproductions.com/store.htmKat's other films are for sale there, so I imagine JOB will be offered sometime in the future.

Google alert in my email today: Connecticut Film Festival ... The slate of films includes feature-length films, short films and documentaries. A number of films have already been locked in, including "Dare Not Walk Alone" (an award-winning documentary about the struggle for civil rights in St. Augustine) "jumping off bridges" (written and directed by Kat Candler and featuring Emmy winner Michael Emerson, currently starring as Henry Gale on ABC's "Lost"), "Car Stories," "The Gold Bracelet" and "The French Guy." biz.yahoo.com/prnews/060803/phth010.html?.v=64

Sorry, but I've looked everywhere, I really wanted to see him in this film, but in France it's almost impossible. Does anybody know if it will come for sale once? If not I will write to storie productions if there isn't an other possibility... Thanks

Thanks for the compliment on the Avi. I love making those. You should see my collection. LOL.
I am quite sure that Michael will give a great performance in the movie. I saw that picture where he is crying. (I am assuming that his child went through the suicide.) I just want to hug him there. He seems so vulnerable.
I am completely in love with his work and his acting ability. The man leaves me with my mouth open. How come he never became famous before LOST? I appreciate LOST ever more since giving him the fame he deserves.
Do I sound like a gushing fan?

Thursday's events were wonderfully successful. We had over 100 attendees for the interview session and over 130 for the film screening of "Jumping Off Bridges".
Seeing Michael up on that big screen in front of all those people was a thrill. I cried, naturally.
Our guest, Kat Candler, was delighted by our students' responses. She was impressed with the high level of committment from our staff and student workers.
I hope we opened up the dialogue and and fired-up the activism that is much needed surrounding the issues of suicide prevention and depression awareness.
I thanked Michael on our program bulletin with little graphic hearts surrounding the words 'with deep gratitude to Michael Emerson for the inspiration'. yeah, I'm a big doof.
Kat looked at the display board I made for Storie Productions, that included a totem of Michael pics, and asked if he was the reason I was interested in her film to begin with.
Yep.
and look at all the good that came out of it!!
An incredible day of events to encourage activism for suicide prevention and awareness.....all because of Michael Emerson.
Well, all because of my loving him and being so hypo-manic over it that I created a film screening of his movie at my university.
Insane.
Insane, but good.
