This past week I got in a conversation with HippieJewel over at the Fuselage about her encounter with Michael in Honolulu. She gave me permission to share her story. Posted 8/14/08: "I met him when I was in Honolulu two years ago. He is so humble and kind. I can't even tell you. The funny thing was that my friends were walking ahead of me as we were crossing the street, they walked right past him!!!!! I was like Michael Emerson, he turned around and said yes......LOL My friends were like Jewel what's taking you so long? I didn't answer........LOL The looks on their faces was priceless........ His shirt is almost like the white one from "The Cost of Living" funeral scene....and I thought I saw a chest hair or two.

Dammit! I think I'm gay for Michael. lol Hey! You're alive! How's life? MY life..... it's finally quieted down. I'm finally done with some of the plays I've been working on. I'm taking a little vacation to see my family soon. They've been missing me a bit. I've been doing some writing just for the hell of it and of course watching re-runs of LOST. I'm so happy to just chill and play my own character for a while. It feels good being silly old me. So how are you?

...I'm finally done with some of the plays I've been working on... Any audition tips for how you got the roles? Which plays? I'd like to read them. I'm anxious to find a role that I like. Does anyone know of plays that have a tomboy character? (besides Viola in "Twelfth Night;" I'm looking for a contemporary role.) ...because the female ones aren't interesting me, much; They all seem the same: interested in boys, makeup, and fashion, excessively, ( I'd hate to have to dress up like that for every female role.) and I'm starting to think I should look at the males roles, instead. I wonder how that would work in an audition, especially if I wanted to audition for a male and female role. I'd hope the casting people wouldn't stare at me in shock, think I'm insulting them or their play, or am joking. I'm annoyed and frustrated that it seems everyone expects every actress to just be a pretty face, wear makeup and all be the same, a stereotype. I feel that's very sexist and boring. I've always been drawn more towards male characters' roles, rather than the female characters'. Why can't I play a guy, a spy, spear-carrier, or fence, too?

I like how he carries a messenger bag just like his alter ego, Ben. I want a messenger bag too!
