Not enough people wanted to buy tickets to see Michael and JJ Abrams.....what kind of parallel world is this? Exactly, it's rubbish. What the organisers dont say is that you are always advised never to book tickets for one specific actor/ actress in case they cancel for whatever reason. So, many were waiting for them to announce another actor/ actress which they never bothered to do. Massive events then had the gall to attack the fans and say they just aren't into Lost etc enough, when really they are the ones who appear to have lost all interest in this convention by never botherign to properly advertise it. To top it off, anyone who asked questions on the forum that they didn't want to answer were banned without a warning. I don't like being like this, as I had a lovely time @ Lockdown, but I will most likley never attend another Massive events convention again as they have still not offered any sincere apology and were extremely rude to many of thier customers. I advise others to think twice about attending one of their events, as frankly, the customer service was diabolical. They are quite honsetly only concerned about the money they will loose (and posted about it on the forum in response to a fan who was concerned with all the money they were going to lose on flights etc) not the money customers have lost by this shambles, and to me that is extremely poor business sense

whoa? 67 tickets sold? Wow Something's fishy here. There has to be more Abrams fans and "Lost" and Emerson fans in the UK than that. And if they're being very testy, it hints strongly of something else. I hope you do get your money back.

I'm sad for everybody that was going to attend. I also hope that Michael doesn't take it personally and think that nobody cares about going to see him, when we all care so very much for him!! But he is the consummate professional so I'm sure he will understand.

Well, the skeptic in me is thinking that Michael prolly never even knew he was going to be at this convention. But that's just me … being my skeptical little self. I feel so bad for the folks in the U.K. who got their hopes up and have this happen.

It does sound like a very unprofessional venture. 'tis a shame.
I was seriously considering buying tickets to England for it, when it was first announced!

I just found out... Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! I was so excited about this! It's not really about the money spent for the tickets (I don't even want to consider the possibility that we won't get refunds), but I had made all my plans for the summer based on the fact that I would be in the UK at the beginning of August (and I'm sure it's the same for many of us who were going); plus a friend of mine who was coming from Italy and had already booked the flights... What a huge disappointment! I can't go to Hawaii to meet Michael Oh and what on Earth am I going to do now with a Dharma jumpsuit?

I was really looking forward to see pictures of fans with Michael. That's wrong of them to blame fans; I think the price drove people away, charging extra for autographs, too, when fans could take their picture with Michael for free if they met him on the street or mail him a photo and ask him to sign it. I wonder whether they would've sold more tickets if Matthew Fox or Josh Holloway had been one of the guests, with Hollywood and society favoring young guys' bodies.
