It comes at the best time, IMO. Outside the weight issue, at that age, a lot of the issues you have about yourself are resolved and you're not so full of yourself. Plus you have enough life experience to actually be interesting. I can see younger actors struggling with all that a lot. I think that's why so many of them lose it. You need that time in your 20s and sometimes 30s to work out a lot of things so you can get on with your work.
The one thing that will be nice is that he can prolly get some lush offers for TV and film that can allow him to do the theater work as he would like. I've read lots of interviews of actors who have taken a film role simply so they can continue to do what they really want to do (stage, art, sports, etc.). Got no problem with that.

Well, Michael has only one more year on Lost, then he'll likely go back to the theater or small movies, depending on what he gets offered. So assuming he lost the weight for celebrity's sake, it comes at a pretty late time in his big celebrity moment on Lost. I agree. I think, if Michael will not be at any known TV-show (similar to Lost) media will overlook about him soon after Lost's end |

mhm...yes..you are right, mythicfeline, a lot of new actors...and of course sometimes the older actors..standing under a heavy stress...(the thing with:you have to be thin etc..)..michael isn´t a young actor..and i think he´s old enough to know, when he have to say: "No..i don´t want it!"..lol..you know what i mean..
