"Firstly, thank you so much for your compliment! Almost nothing compares to a compliment from bensane colleague. Only a one-way ticket to Lost Production Offices with a special note "to accomodate in Mr. Emerson's room" could be better." (sorry, can't get to grips with the quote thing)
You're most welcome my russian friend. You are quite a wonderful addition to have here and I'm very excited by your presence. I said Ben was my favourite character of LOST even befoire I realised I had a crush on him because of the inner workings of his mind. He is nothing rermarkable to look at in the conventional sense, he's quite short for a man and apprantly inoffensive looking. Yet when he turns those eyes on you and starts making you dance to his tune you realise this man is so much more than ordinary.
I do creative writing as a hobby (see "I'm wriitng a novel" thread) and I've always said "The writers clearly ADORE writing for Ben, hell I would." They must relish writing for him and also him and Locke togther so much more than the other cast, well that's how it appears on screen doesn't it?
Blessings Rhi

Excellent write-up! Welcome Thanks a lot for appreciating my humble work! :-) Yep, you came in on advanced status. Welcome. And pretty soon, there might be more Russian members than others! LOL! An exaggeration perhaps, but the ones we have are extraordinary (as are the rest of my fellow MEFB members). I look forward to your contributions. Woo-hoo, what a moment to feel the Big National Pride! Thank you very much! I'll do my best to keep your opinion that way. :-)

you forgot to mention that he sparkles too!!!! and that is really manly I am sorry I didn't fully understand what you mean, could you explain please? he is sure enough about his personality and the power he has... he doesn't need the "good looks", as some others does... Yes, exactly! That's THE point! you only bother about things you think are the key to your public image. Therefore, as long as you consider yourself a pure hottie, you'll care more about nosebleed than about acting like a fool. I have forgotten about the looks of every man on that island and concentrated instead on their brains... i mean, i can appreciate a shirtless Sawyer, but not as an object of my desire, but as a picture i can hang in my living-room... Another "exactly' here! To my dismay, I consider man to be a man judging primarily by his actions, secondly by his words and only thirdly by his looks. My grandmother taught me that when I was about 14 years old.

I second that and welcome here . Now I feel myself so good after all these sweet words from benfans... I think I need a little dance! He is nothing rermarkable to look at in the conventional sense, he's quite short for a man and apprantly inoffensive looking. Yet when he turns those eyes on you and starts making you dance to his tune you realise this man is so much more than ordinary Oh, yes, oh, yeeeees, you described the whole process very keenly! To my mind, that famous milk scene is the first swallow to the summer of bensanity, because it grabs our attention from outer to inner values. "Look, this man presents such a sorry spectacle, he has nothing pleasant about him... still.. why on earth he is so magnetic?" - you think to yourself, quite astonished. And the problem is that time won't change this contradiction: he'll have his unattractive regurarly bloodied looks and you'll have your growing adoration towards everything he does. I should say one thing to summarize (and actually echoing my own essay): a gorgeous man is more of a masterpiece than of a man himself. I come from a very artistic family, you know, I was raised as a true aesthete who appreciates things mainly visually... but I learned that art and life have to be strictly divided, especially when it comes to men. OK, that's another serious subject to discuss, but I'm sure you got the idea. I do creative writing as a hobby and I've always said "The writers clearly ADORE writing for Ben, hell I would." They must relish writing for him and also him and Locke togther Hurray, a colleague here! You are absolutely right about Ben being a wonderful prototype to develop... Unfortunately, I'm not very good at pure fiction, nevertheless I'll sure make Ben an important figure in my reflection-styled essays. And I am on my way to your work as well!

Hey there I'm so looking forward to your Ben essays. It's incredible to have someone to talk about Ben intellectually aswell as lustfully The two come hand in hand as I've written from Daniel's view point (the character inspired by Michael) "The thought of her naked form haunted my dreams. I imagined over and over the two of us entwined in intimate passion. I wanted her because I loved her, I wanted to unite with this woman in every possible sense." Rhi
