It's hard to tell at this stage. Maybe Vaughn's gotten a large offer that lasts beyond the end of Lost. Thus far there's not even a murmur of "artistic differences," so hopefully it is the "greener pastures" opportunity and not anything detrimental to the final season.

hrmmm....will have to scamper over to Lostpedia to see which episodes were his handiwork. It is quite strange that they would let go of one of the major writers/producers this late in the game. I mean, why not hang on for just one more season before seeking the greener pastures? They'll still be there when Lost wraps up in March, won't they?
Maybe it was 'creative differences' over the last season?

Maybe it was 'creative differences' over the last season? This was one of my thoughts too. This is the final season, and I could imagine that the writers have a different view of how the story will end. I hope we'll get to know more soon

Yes, I agree, I'm sure that the writers have different points of view...the end of Lost it's very important!!!
