This quote from that questionable articles raises my suspicions or adds to them. The word "vindicates" is misused here. I can see how someone with a lesser command of English would use this word, thinking it worked. But Michael's English is impeccable, and he would never choose this word in this context:
The tvguideamagazine.com and tvguide.com are both sites that seem to be internet versions of the TV Guide. They use the same logo, but usually sister sites link to each other and I can't find those links. On difference, tvguide.com seems to provide a lot more information about itself, who's in charge. The other site says BETA.
Perhaps it's a new site that hasn't been fully cleared for pub, but someone figured out how to get in and grabbed an article. That I know has been known to happen and someone just so happened to grab a "dummy" article that used to help the site developer. If that's the case, it reeks of unprofessionalism. Reminds me of those sophomoric headlines that get past copy desks and the next day in the paper is a 62 pt. headline that says: "Put a cutesy headl here" instead of the Latin dummy text, which is a safer strategy to use on a number of levels.
Anyway, I'm still leaning toward the fact it's a bogus article or one in which the author or editor took liberties.
