I was a bit surprised that Michael said something like, "you don't want to overdo a line, say it too sneeringly." I've heard people overact strongly in real life, so I didn't really think that there's such a thing as overdoing a line in acting. Yes, it's shocking, bewildering, and unbelievable to see and hear, but I thought that's being truthful to real life, the whole point of acting. I totally understood what he meant there. After the stage acting I've done, it's SO true.

If anything, the 20 to 30 takes means that the show is excellently edited. If anyone deserves to get a nod for a job well done it's the folks sitting in the editing room and making choices and being spot on so many times. You realize how rare a thing "Lost" is. All the thousands of pieces have to line up from the storyline to the script, set, wardrobe, directing, acting, etc. etc. That is does almost all the time, you realize it's a rare mix of talent and fortune.
I love the little pig they gave to Michael. His appearance there and willingness to talk and his ability to express his ideas so succinctly just increases my admiration for his talent and him. He's a mensch through and through.
