HOLD ON! Do you guys really think it will creep him out? I don't want him to be creeped out or embarassed or anything negative. I truely thought it was hilarious and that he would see the humor in it IF we told him it was all in fun. Do you think he will find it in poor taste or... not funny? Please if people think I should not do this I might not. Perhaps I'm looking at it from the wrong perspective. Don't you think he'll chuckle at it? Let me know what you think. I'm all about respecting him I really am. BUT the man has adorable legs!!!

I'm gonna hold back on this, coz knowing him it might freak him out  My weird sense of humour made me think this was a funny idea, but I respect the advice of someone who knows Michael better than me and I won't do it. And, again, I would have sent the pic 'cos it's very Ben-like (the khaki colour) and it's Ben my madness, not Michael Emerson. I want to thank the admins here for their work and advice, the last thing I want is to scare Michael or seem stalkerish. @alyagotado2: I praise your fantasy, though!! |

Now I have mixed feelings about it. I get the funny HAHA part, but I do understand the direction it can take as coming off creepy. lol, reminds me of my hubby's legs, only shorter  (and not as nicely dressed) |

Hmmm? I appreciate the advice and know everyone on here cares about Michael. Many of you have "known" him much longer than I so I will heed your advice and not send the picture. Perhaps if I meet him someday I could tell him this little story and get the pic signed then or something.... Doesn't matter it was just for fun, the important thing is I don't offend him or hurt him in any way. Thanks very much for the advice!

Here is the link to this pic. Some of us on here have decided to have this printed and then send it to Michael in Hawaii to have him sign it. This will be exclusive to people on here. I was gone for a while and see this. Thanks Steph for answering. And I will say it as well. Michael is very shy and reserved. He would not take your request very well. I know of cases wherein he sent the items requested not signed and some gifts were returned with a very polite thank you note. We, on this board, try to behave in accordance with his principles. In fact, I believe that he would absolutely die of embarassment over some of the posts we have here. And mind you, we are very tame when we compare ourselves with other fans of other artists. |

I don't know... I keep thinking about this.
The reason why I decided to follow the admins advice it that, besides their "knowing" Michael whether in person or not I don't mind, for me it's difficult to judge what is funny or not for a non Italian. Consider that in Italy stalking an actor is not a common thing at all (stalking an ex girlfriend yes but that's another story), so I had not thought of the "creepy" side of sending him a photo of his legs to sign at all.
Regardless of him being an actor, being shy and reserved (being a Virgo, the most difficult sign for me to understand), sense of humour is a very tricky concept and what makes me giggle could make you angry and viceversa.
Who knows, really, what makes Michael laugh? My favourite singer has the fame of being snob, cold and unreacheable and I was in awe once in his presence. It turned out he's the sweetest man, good humoured and well mannered and that he just want to defend his privacy.
So, unless one knows him in person, who can say how he really is like?
Please, don't take this the wrong way, these are only some considerations and my English is not that good to go a little deeper.

Good post, linusblanket. I see what you are saying. From my perspective...I don't think any of us would claim to know what Michael would think of every imaginable situation. But over time, having read or heard what he says in interviews and hearing about how he responds to different questions and items in fan mail, you get a general idea of what puts him off and what doesn't. I think in the end, the legs picture is more amusing to us than it would be to him. We don't want to make the guy more uncomfortable than we already do.  |

LOL I've always asked myself if Michael or Carrie, or anybody close to them ever reads any of the posts (or visit the chatroom), what would they say?
And I agree with Edith, we are all very tamed if we compare ourselves to other celebrities fans (cough-cough *DiCaprio* cough-cough)
I've been absent from the forum for a while so I have no idea what this is about but I'm guessing you guys were going to send a pic of his legs to get his autograph or something like that?
