By the way Edith S. Baker beautiful dogs, they look very good on these pictures. i mean, every bulldog is not dangerous but it is about their train and owners..some owners are not looking with their pets..maybe your bulldog trained well so it is not dangerous. But if soembody didn't look her/his bullldog well or not trained her/his dog well that dog can be dangerous..yeah all dogs can be dangerous in that time.but bulldogs attact is to neck and their bite is can kill a person surely..and their jaws are very stronger than other dogs.. i love bulldogs and yours is sweet.but you said yours is french bulldog.every dog is different even they are in the same class.yes i saw a bulldog on tv and the kid he was 4-5 years old or something was feeding it.But as i was your pics. your bulldog is little than bulldogs whichs are in my country or i saw.

Thank you guys . Gungrave I think you are referring to pitbull dogs, right?? They have similar apparence and I know and I saw some murders made for them, as you said they attack to the neck. Pitbulls are very dangerous you can try to teach them to be a good dogs but the instinct doesn't change ever. Bulldogs don't have that instinct so as you said the dog can be the way or another but like other dog. I'll try to find out something about that in " english" because all i found out was in other lenguage so I don't wanna post it. By the way I have another pet, maybe I'll put the image on the web later.

nobennolost, your dog is adorably cute. I love bulldogs. They have such a sweet nature.
No, gungrave, bulldogs are not dangerous dogs. They are supersweet. Actually, pitbulls are nice dogs, too. They are a bit more high maintenance and the person who has them has to make sure to train them properly. Piibulls can be trained to fight, which, unfortunately, some people do for money and thus, the dogs get a bad reputation. Also, as these dogs are extremely strong, you have to be a good trainer and make sure that they obey your commands. Another problem with pitbulls is that, at least in the United States, many are removed from their litter at 5 weeks. No puppy should leave the nest before 10 to 14 months. If you remove them earlier, the mother dog is not able to properly teach her puppy to be a social animal. Many end up having social problems, become biters, and hard to train. That is one of the main reasons animals end up in shelters.

Hey thank you, I've never had a Pitbull I just said that because a friend of mine had one and because of his dog there was a bit desaster in my little village... What happened was the dog went to a farmville and began to bite some pigs but when my friend came there it was a bit late because there was blood on their bodies and pigs began to attack to themselfs. ( pigs turn crazy when they see blood ) I'm not referring that pitbulls have to be a bad class of dogs, it's just a bit scene I lived some months ago.

This dog is a bulldog. Despite their looks, bulldogs are extremely sweet natured. This is what Wikipedia says about them:

Today's image of pit bulls owes its dire image in no small way to the dog-fighting subculture. In a previous generation, the pit bull was portrayed at the ideal family pet because of its behavioral trait of wanting to please people. Having volunteered at Best Friends Animal Society over the years, almost all the pit bulls I have met have been such loving creatures; they fall all over themselves trying to please you and let you know how much they like you. Their desire to win you over is so strong it breaks my heart sometimes, because it leaves them so vulnerable to misuse and it's been used to turned them into hated creatures. Granted, Best Friends has a well-trained staff that has worked with these dogs, especially those rescued from the fighting pit, to make them good pets, but the primary challenge of these dogs is reducing or eliminating dog-aggression (and other animal-agression) out of them, which they've learned from their lives as fighting animals. One of the happiest tales I have heard come out of the Michael Vick horror story is of the pit bull who is now a therapy dog. To look at that dog today, it's have to even image this dogs was subjected to such a horrible existence, that he was trained to kill. Likewise, I seen so many pit bulls at Best Friends who are just clowns. Big and clumsy yes, but they just want to love and be loved. I know that sounds crazy, but I wouldn't have believed it myself had I not seen it time and time again. I am all for reforming the image of the pit bull. Yes, they are strong and yes, if trained to be fighting dogs or attack dogs, they are dangerous and do a lot of damage and cause serious injury. But for the record the breeds that are most notorious for bites and attacks are the small toy breeds. No one complains as much though because they are tiny. I offer this as additional information for anyone who is interested in learning more: Best Friends' Saving America's Dog. I think the main thing to remember about all breeds of dogs is that, certainly, there are characteristics associated with breeds, but a dog is largely the product of its training and its owner. Train it to be hostile, even the little chihuahua will be a dangerous dog.

One more thing about pit bulls, the dog in the Our Gang (Little Rascals series) was a pit bull. Back in the early 20th century, the pit bull was seen as a docile, protector, and great playmate for children: How their image changed, poor things. I have met some extremely docile pit bulls in my life. The only thing I had to be concerned with was being mauled by their wet tongues. They were constantly trying to lick me and wouldn't stop. Yes, they (if treated properly) are nothing but love machines. On the other hand, I work for basset hound rescue. Basset hounds are extremely sweet social animals, who love all things that breathe. But, unfortunately, I have seen aggressive bassets, too. If you mistreat an animal from the early days, they, like people, can become misfits.

Gungrave, it's always good sense and good manners to ask a dog's owner if you can approach and pet, even if the dog is pulling at the leash, wagging it's tail wildly because it wants to greet you.
Some owners may have their pets out because they want to teach them to refrain from such behavior and act properly in public. And your approach is a chance to teach it manners Others may have dogs with a personality that swings wildly. (And that is true whether it's a pittie or a pom). And some owners just want you to leave their dogs alone.
So you are acting wisely.
