No matter how much Ben has left to do in the final 10 episodes, it appears we will never see a Ben-centric episode ever again. After that stops making you cry, you can look back on the four Ben-centric shows we did get. Now that Ben's collection of showcases is over, we can now make the difficult choice of choosing the best one. Since we've now all seen "Dr. Linus" we can compare it to the likes of "Man Behind The Curtain" "Shape Of Things To Come" and "Dead Is Dead" Out of all this, which episode was better- the one with Ben's childhood and first visit to "Jacob's cabin", the one where he chose the island over Alex, the one where the Man in Black pulled his first fast one on Ben, or the one where he finally found someone who will have him?

So hard!!!..... I think I also choose TSOTTC... I felt like he gave his best performance in it and we see many side of him all in one episode (scared, devastated, ruthless, etc) and he plays them all perfectly!

I voted for The Shape of things to come. It surpassed my expectations. I remember clearly the day I watched it. The impression Ben made on me. The impression Michael made on me. That Widmore-Ben scene in London really took my breath away. When their faces were half-lighted. . . and they were talking to each other... Ben in that black coat. . . powerful, laconic, mysterious... And this scene of killing Alex and Ben`s eyes... And then, when he was crying. The first and the last time he was crying in Lost. An I loved this flash-forward thing too...
It`s very hard for me to choose. All Ben-centrics are absolutely amazing and highly emotional. Michael is a genius.

It's funny coz I remember the exact date I first saw The Shape Of Things To Come... It was October 23rd and in that scene when Ben is in Tunisia and he asks that woman the date she says it's October 24th I was thinking if only I had watched it a day later it would have been on that date Lol. ;D ;D

Well, no one seemed to like Dead Is Dead, so at least Dr Linus has one friend. But I wound up jumping on the Shape bandwagon.

Oh, wow. I don't think I can vote. Each of Ben's centric episodes is a revelation. I've more than enjoyed watching and re-watching all of them. For me, in terms of initial impact...how strongly I felt about it after watching it for the first time...The Shape of Things to Come is the winner. There was just something about TSOTTC that clicked a little bit louder than the rest for me. I can't pinpoint why. Maybe it was perfect timing in terms of the storyline. But I don't know if I can say that's the "best" Ben episode. If you asked me to rate them all in order of how good they were, the list would end up looking like this: 1. The Man Behind the Curtain, The Shape of Things to Come, Dead is Dead, Dr. Linus. 2. n/a 3. n/a 4. n/a

I think the S6 DVD is coming out in late summer, so that might be doable then without us having to watch Dr. Linus online.

So true, Caz. That fur trim was beyond adorable.
Thought I'd raise awareness here for a new term used in relation to Ben. I heard on another forum, but it's perfect: Benipulation; Ben + manipulation = Benipulation. Isn't that perfect? Add that to your spell checks and dictionaries.
