I had a very stressful job: refers to Juliet's "It's very stressful being an Other" quote in "The Other Woman"
then I settled down with someone in power: refers to Juliet settling with Sawyer/LaFleur, the powerful head of security in DHARMAville
until the past came back to haunt me: Refers to Jack and company arriving in 1977 and getting Juliet killed. But technically, the past did come back to haunt her from the future.

Wow!!! My first thought was Juliet, but I was confused by `a very stressful job`...I thought that Juliet loved her job in Miami...being a doctor and helping women to become pregnant...

Well, that job wasn't perfect either, since her ex-husband helped make it difficult. But the Others job was more stressful, though it was a stepping stone to finding love.
