A music video I made of Ben/Henry, set to Antonio Pontarelli's 'Things Fall Apart'. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTvbtCdHGKQWarning: Gratuitous violence happening to Henry/Ben. Don't watch if you usually skip those scenes while watching LOST. And go easy on me. It's my first.

I'm using Windows Movie Maker (just still pictures, and I'd only be a 4 minute movie with a song) and I have enough space to save it, but it won't save it as a movie file, even when I take the song out; I did delete my original pictures and renamed a few until I found out that the computer won't save it since I did that. I also tried copying it and saving it, but that didn't work either. I also deleted my original video and still pictures (40 seconds and without music) and I thought that could be the reason, too, but I was able to save that and upload it online. Does anyone know how I can save my movie to my computer or maybe how to start over? I've been working on it since this summer and am frustrated that I'm not able to share it.

Are you saving to the computer? What are your choices?

It wouldn't save.
"Windows Movie Maker can't save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available and that there is enough free disk space available and then try again."
I tried saving it in "My Videos" and I have enough space because my movie file size is 27.98 MB and the estimated disk space available on drive C is 1.11 GB.
It has to be that I don't have the original source files because I didn't have a problem saving my first video back in March; I deleted a few of the ones I imported as well as the ones from my first movie and renamed them because I'd improved the color or didn't want to use them anymore; I think I first tried saving it as a movie file when I had about 7-15 pictures and the MP3 song and it didn't save it, then tried taking out the song, but that didn't work.
I tried finding the pictures in Temporary Internet Files and restored three, but they only came up as the titles from the "Lost" episode I'd gotten them from (White-Rabbit) without the picture showing and I couldn't identify them. That was months ago and all the Temporary Internet Files been deleted since then.
I thought there has to be a way for me to start over with the current pictures I have (about 50), but I'm not tech-savy and don't know how to without losing those original source files, too; I thought I could copy it into a "new" project, but that didn't save, either.
I think I have the same version of Movie Maker that your work computer has because I have an XP and the pictures you posted looked exactly like what came up.

Interesting, I think that you are missing some files. My workplace purposely removed certain files because we are not supposed to make videos at work. I do have the same edition at home and it works there. Do you have the disks? You may want to reload them. If not, you may want to spend some money on Sony Vegas. Sophie swears by it.
