I just opened it. I wish I never prepared that letter to him - 'cause I hoped there was more than a signed picture and a note which said that those stupid IRC's don't work without that stupid stamp. I'm disappointed. I asked him a few questions. Told him that I'm a fan of him. It's not that I expected much. I know he has a lot to do. But... maybe I did something wrong? I don't know. But I'm sure there won't be a next time. i don't understand. lol sophie is being dumb rofl its early and im ill ha ha. you didn't get anything from him?   im sorry. i asked him a question too but he didn't answer either. rofl so i will ask him again  it was will you marry me? HA HA no not really i asked if he would come to the uk. I didn't understand either  You didn't get anything? Or you got the pic, but not the answer? If the latter, I tell you I did ask a few question to him too the first time I wrote and he didn't reply either. I guess the only one who gets repiles is Edith, for obvious reasons. She's the official representative of the whole Board, right? ;D I mean, we all see how Michael's love is spreading all over the world. Just imagine what would happen if our guy had to reply to all the question sent to him by the fans.  He wouldn't have time to shoot Lost or anything else anymore LOL ;D *hugs* |

I didn't even expected answers to my questions... I just wanted a little card which said something like "Thank you for the letter" or "Thank you for being a Fan" or - I don't know. I put all my courage into that letter because I'm an extremly shy person and even letters to people are hard for me to write. Especially if the letter is for someone like him. Maybe if he knew ... but he didn't. Last night I was a bit disappointed because I was so excited and so on. But now, I think I am ok with that what I got. I got an envelope from Honolulu today ;D
I just made a birthday card and sent it off - not wanting, asking or expecting anything in return. I got a picture with an autograph and 'Many thanks Kim" on it. Will scan and upload shortly ;D
p.s I have had the absolute crappiest, most stressful week at work in my entire life, so this really, really, really made my day.

I think the most , most fans have been getting is the signed autograph. Very rarely have I heard of him adding an extra note. I specifically asked him to write my name on one of the pictures. I didn't plan on writing again so I wanted one personalized and he kindly did so! He has to be super busy right now. I'm sure he is doing as much as he can while filming that beautiful show in time for February!! @sophie-I stuck a little note with your letter explaining that I was sending it for you and I'm pretty sure your name was at the bottom of your letter too. That combined with the birthday card, he shouldn't be forgetting your name any time soon! lol  |

That's awesome Kim! Congrats!  I think the bottom line is, if you want him to personalize the photo, you should clearly ask him that in your letter. ...and then pray. ;D |

You could put that in your next letter, that way he knows you didn't do that on purpose to make him pay for the postage. I love the stamps on your envelope! |

awww kool mel he he well he should remember me now. hes got pic of me ha ha plus it helps having the same name as his niece rofl omg kiffy, i love that pic you got. and he did write a little something. so thats really really sweet. and omg kim wow thats soooo lush. like you i was having a crap week when mine arrived @ mels (day b4 found out my nan died) so when i found out he replied it made it so much better  omg sophies got a week off next week. i think she will be writing |

When I sent the card off to Edith as part of the birthday pack I deliberately didn't ask for anything, nor did I include postage for a reply. I did the card just to show my appreciation for his work, no other reason. So even while everyone else was getting replies, I never once looked at the post and hoped there would be something. So it just goes to show what a great man he is. |
