Change your background to charcoal black. Or, would you want me to. BTW, I still modify instead of quote. Then I have to fix it, so no one finds out that I was dumb. He looks creepy here. I don't think that he looked creepy in the color version of this picture: But that black and white is creepy. In the color one, it looks more like he's smiling than it does in the AVI.

It's his eyes. They can be so stark. In the Season 3 DVD I am really struck by them. They almost shock. I would have to look away after a while. Damon said on the one of the commentaries that if you can't lose in closing a scene by going out on Michael's eyes.

They can be alluring and frightening.

A lot of people say that Michael or his characters are creepy. I tend to see the human side that he always tries to instill in his characters. However, snivellusfriend's avi really got to me. He looks creepy here. I don't think that he looked creepy in the color version of this picture: But that black and white is creepy. lol ;D I thought he looked creepy in a funny way in the colored picture, pretending to be Henry Gale, I think, but yeah, I know what you mean! I thought he looked really dark and moody in the black and white pic; I think it has to do with the contrasting color: he looks more human and warm in color, but cold and dead in black and white. I improved it and was going to have this one as my new avatar, but I decided with Michael smiling for now.

Paul Giamatti, anyone? ;D OMG, not long ago, I read something about Michael feeling good that the Paul Giamantti's of the world (geeky actors) are finally getting recognized.

;D Yay!
That's who he reminded me of when I first saw Michael in "Zorro;" I bet Paul Giamatti auditioned for the role, too, because the director said that both of the roles of the brothers were played by New York actors.

You know, I had my secretary tell me that last week when I brought up Mike and Lost. She was like "man he is creepy." I bristled a little and said, "he's not like that...its just the characters he plays."
He wasn't creepy in his theatre days at all. Its been interesting for me to see how he has played these "creepy" characters. During his theatre and teaching days his characters ran the gambit and he captured them all equally nicely. My impressions of Mike in J'ville were that he was a nice fellow, brilliant, and witty. He never came across as creepy...never...His eyes were always piercing though. I remember those clearly. He would look directly at you...very clearly, when he was talking to you. I know a reporter recently commented on that as well. I think its one of the first things I noticed about him. His eyes are very blue and very piercing. Perhaps some folks find eyes as such creepy. I dunno. All in all though, he never seemed creepy to me. I think if he was, he wouldn't have been that popular in the j-ville theatre community.
Of course I don't know what he's like now. People change in 15 years. He still seems to be very personable and relaxed as always. I mean, he does seem to have an interest in his fan base and does communicate with this board, which is really nice.
He's always been a damn good dresser and had excellent taste in spectacles. Seems that hasn't changed.

Thanks, bones! I think I'd laugh if he stared at me, especially if he was trying to look mean and serious because I couldn't stop myself from laughing at how creepy my mom's eyes looked when she was angry.
He does pick out nice glasses!
I wonder what his favorite character costume is?
