well there is no smell unfortunately  but my husband said: "maybe he himself licked the stamps" ahahahaha , leaves room to imagination doesn't it? |

do you know if michael is a smoker?  I hope not; Nasty smelling, killing stuff. My aunt and uncle have cancer and still smoke...one of the craziest things I've ever heard...I can't believe that the doctors give them treatments and don't order them to quit...seems unfair for the people who don't smoke, want to live and are sick. I don't think Michael does because his voice isn't hoarse and he looks younger than he really is (smoking makes you age faster and look old). and how often do you(everybody here ;D) write to michael? I haven't had the courage to write to Michael; I'm a coward, that's why I had Edith send him questions for me. I'm afraid I'd be bothering him and wasting his time; I wouldn't know what to say, anyway. |

though smoking is bad, this myth that all smokers smell nasty, have hoarse voices and are almost horrible people works only in America. I live in Paris, everybody I know smokes, I am of Turkish origin, everybody I know smokes there too. I smoke myself, not much, around 5 a day, I smell very good my husband too for that matter. we do not have bad teeth at all as we brush them reguarly, we have great voices haha, no but my father has been smoking for 50 years and has a wonderful voice and even sings at weddings. So, of course, it is very bad for your health, and causes cancer and I hope every smoker quits one day, but please stop with this nasty smoker prototype. Other than this, I wrote to him only once, this was my first time. I don't know if I will write again. I had my autograph, will probably leave him alone. I would feel bad if I wrote too often, I would think that I look like a stalker. I am not saying that people who wrote to him more than once are stalking, not at all. But I would not write unless I am convinced to have something very interesting to tell him |

Well, I for one hope he doesn't smoke. I used to smoke, a lot, when I was younger. And I enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed the ritual of it. Really good tobacco makes all the difference between a foul-smelling cigaret and a nice smelling one. But of course, the fact is, it is an unhealthy practice. I was able to quit with no problem. But I know many struggle with quitting and that must be hard.
Of the Lost cast, I know Matthew Fox , Naveen Andrews and I think Evangeline Lilly do, but I don't know for sure about her. I would have to say I don't think Michael smokes because of his looks and his voice, but I could be wrong. I'm guessing Terry O'Quinn doesn't. I think Josh Holloway does. If someone knows different on these please say so.
For someone who has smoked, I have to admit I don't like to be around it anymore. One the reasons I quit was the scent it left in your hair.
But back to the topic. Thanks so much, everyone for sharing your autographs and mailings. It is so clear from all the responses that Michael and Carrie are very kind and decent folk.

my sister smokes she don't really stink of it but she did 1st thing in the morning coz they first thing she use to do was light up a f**  and her breath made me gag ROFL but that was only then. |

lol i know what u mean i wanted to write him a thanku letter after he sent me some stuff bt then thought this could go on and on lol. and its wierd i keep findin out stuff and thinkin ooh michael would be interested in that and it makes me want to write it to him lol but then he would get loads of letters from me  |

aww thats really lovely Tigerlily ;D she is so sweet i just finished another letter to Michael. i wanted to write and congratulate him for the shape of things to come but as ive written b4 i didnt want to bug him or anything but my mum said naah he'l love it do it again lol so i hav plus it means more signed photos |

i wrote him one just over a year ago and then there was a mail strike so i got worried that it didnt reach him so i sent another with a drawing i did and he wrote on my pics n sent em back and wrote a little note saying he loved the drawing and he showed it to carrie lol so this one ive just sent was the third. i kinda feel like id be buggin him but i dont think he'l mind lol hes so lovely. besides itwas my mums idea |
