song
First time I read that (elegy) my brain completely locked up - I was pretty sure there was a poem of that title by some famous writer... can you tell me?

Melody.
(Are you thinking of 'Elegy in a Country Churchyard', by Thomas Gray?)

Study.
(No, you underestimate me, surely! I still remember that from Lit. class. I think I want the first stanza of his little epitaph on my grave when I leave this world behind.)

Light. You need a little light for your desk, of course. I suppose an image of Ben's study is springing to mind. Ha - well, I guess I'm assuming other people's brains work like mine. I for one would be horrible at Jeopardy because quite often I'll know I know something, but there is no way on earth I'm able to extract the actual word/phrase. Going to be interesting to see what happens to me when I age. ;D Oh - and that's a bit depressing. At least one of the lines doesn't work - you were born with a good mind.

Bulb.
(Tell me about it. I suffer from the same problem too sometimes.)

Eye.
Thinking of "bulbous," I believe. ;D Ugh. Have you ever wondered about those people who got their eyes gouged out? (And, I suppose, the gouge-ers?) ...
Edited last post.

Gloucester. (It's your own fault for mentioning eyeballs being gouged out. ;D) Oh - and that's a bit depressing. At least one of the lines doesn't work - you were born with a good mind. Oh, does it say something about not having a good mind? Can't recall it now, but it is midnight...

Just something about how 'Science' did not smile on his humble birth.

(Now I'm using Google ... the line is 'Fair Science frowned not on his humble birth'. Seems to me like he was talking about having been blessed with a great capacity for intellect even though he was of humble origins.)

England. *smacks head* I mentally read 'frown' as 'smile,' I guess already riding on the melancholic tone. I don't feel tired.

Crown.
(It's very late; it's no surprise we're all somewhat brain-dead.)
