Finally got to see it. Michael was as charming as ever. He's so sweet when he talks about Carrie.
I have to rant about this. WTF is it with the creepy comment? Can't people get past that? He's a brilliant actor. I'm ready to freakin scream everytime I hear that. Did Anthony Hopkins get called creepy after Silence or DeNiro after Cape Fear. I think not! I'm just sick of it!

Hopkins and De Niro did plenty of non creepy and non killer roles in between those scary ones. For most people, they just know Michael as being creepy on Lost or Saw or The Practice, or know him as playing sinister or suspicious people on other TV guest spots. They have no idea that he usually specialized in comedy in the theater before he says so in interviews. Since the vast majority of his highest profile work on TV and film is as "creepy people" then that's where this question keeps coming from.

actually, I've noticed that when actors get asked the SAME question(ex. your wife played your mom!! ) ALL the time they answer with the SAME answer, which is why Michael would respond with )fruedian nightmare....). It aint his fault!

Was it only five minutes though? I'd have prefered much longer I taped it and found out it's only 5 minutes; I was hoping he'd be on longer, but I still enjoyed it. It's very sweet that he's giving Carrie a new ring. The subway story sounded funny when he talked about it, but I'm sure it was an embarrasing experience. I'm sort of puzzled that Michael makes acting sound really easy, (he also said in another interview that he learned that acting was easier than he thought it was) that he only has to "put on a costume and say lines;" I've read books where some actors/acting coaches say otherwise, and I was really confused when I read David Mamet's book, who said that acting is more simple than the way it's being taught. I'm confused about whom to listen to, whom is correct, which method is correct, ect. Although, acting did feel easier to me (and looked it) when I was more confident and happy, practicing yesterday, so I think I may finally understand what Michael and some of the other people were talking about. I think that you agonize about acting a bit too much. Just go out there and do it. If you are in school, go and audition for your school's next play. If you are not in school, go to your local community theatre company (if you don't know how to find one, pm me with your address, I'll find one for you) and audition. You will find that it not as hard as you think it is. The most difficult roles would be in Shakespeare. But you go to top schools for that. Heck, Michael had to get his masters to be a Shakespearean actor. What you have to remember is that, for every successful actor, there are 100 who don't make it. It's a numbers game. It all depends on ambition, perseverance, luck, and little bit of talent.

Last night my browser was acting up on a lot of things, so that was prolly just another one on the hit list. It appears my browser is like Moriarty, making up hit lists.

It just occurred to me when they're asking what's in store, Michael was all, oh, just more beatings and bloodshed, wars, etc. He had to be feeling pretty snarky-smug sitting there silently knowing what he knew and what the viewers didn't. Ha! That's the spirit! I love that kind of gamesmanship.
