I've always been under the impression that "Kyme" was a typo/mistake. I only saw it listed as that on one site originally, then other sites picked up on it (copying the info from the first one). Since there's no other confirmation of it...it's not really a fact. I guess someone could ask when they write to him.

A nice little birdie told me that there is no Kyme in the Emerson family. Did they say whether Kyme was his stage name? Or a legal name? And if so, why? I had seen that some time before, and wasn't sure what the deal was. Lots of people switch names for a host of reasons. It would not make a dime's worth of difference in my opinion of his acting. It's an interesting find, but if it has no basis in fact, then it needs to be discounted as such.
