Thought it was worthy of posting here.
(It's well-written and it's all true, you know.)

"I posted a message here recently regarding his performance in Lost. My only personal experience of him until then was his rendition of the victimized hospital orderly in Saw, a relatively undemanding role, but one which I felt he characterized brilliantly. I now gather that he received an Emmy for his efforts as a ruthless serial killer in "The Practice".
Whilst delighted, I'm not not in the least surprised. I witnessed his debut on Lost and thought he was truly marvelous. Now, a mere five weeks have elapsed, and he has succeeded in humbling virtually every other member of the cast.
If I were this fellow's agent, I'd be rapidly tagging on the zeros!! His technique is as close to perfection as anyone could reasonably expect. Traditionally demanding feats such as conveying a clutch of emotions within a single expression, or breathing life into a sentence of otherwise ordinary dialog are carried off with an intensity as breath snatching as it is effortless and the precision of his timing is of masterful proportions. Direct comparison with all but Terry O Quinn's portrayal of Locke can't be taken seriously, as it is only he who, of the remaining cast, appears to possess these same qualities as a performer.
I surmise that Michael's comparative lack of exposure on television and the big screen must be by virtue of either extreme selectiveness, or, as other have concluded, his love of the theater, for undoubtedly, his considerable stage experience is vividly evident throughout every second he occupies the screen.
Michael, you are terrific, please, if only for the sake of a UK based fan, keep up the film and TV work!!"
