I'm in the process of writing a fan fic about Henry, semi-canonical. Anyway, I'm reviewing all of Michael's episodes (what a chore, I know ) and I was noticing something in 'Dave' when Locke convinces Ana Lucia to let him talk to Henry for 5 minutes. Henry askes Locke if he can ask him a question and Locke answers, "Maybe your people were looking for this place." Locke says the word 'place' with special reverence. Henry answers and pronounces the word exactly the same way, sardonically of course, but it's such a perfect imitation of how Locke had just said it. A nice detail that I'm sure Michael added on his own. Well, I'm not SURE, but it seems like something he would do.

Oo that's a nice catch, now I'm gonna go watch it! I'm pretty sure that's something Fenry would do. He's a genius.
When you're done writing it can I read??

I'll need some fresh eyes to critique it. I have to warn you, I indulge myself by spending alot of time describing him.....lol. If you're a Henry fan, and a Michael fan (after all, he is the hottness behind the Henry) then you'll probably enjoy it!

Thank you!! Lol yea I don't mind detailed descriptions one bit. And I'm very sure I'll enjoy the story! Oh and I watched that part in 'Dave' and it did sound like he was imitating John. Go Fenry.

Awesome, and I'm glad I'm not the only re-watcher either! One of my favorite Henry moments is in the finale, when they're on the Pala Ferry dock, right after the white light incident. He had his hands up to his ears. When the pulse ended... watch the way he let's his hands drop. He remains intent on the sky while his hands descend slowly. Then gracefully his fingers droop in unison. The just fall, like two eyelids closing. sigh The other 'Henry's Hands' moment for me in the finale is when he walks over to the captives and signals Ms. Klugh to get Hurley to his feet. It's a small move with his hand. No, wait. It's not really his hand. Actually it's a flick of the wrist. His hand stays loose. Very subtle, a testimony to Henry's power; a flick of the wrist and his people jump. Very cool. Very leather-jacket-in-the-Village...lol. rewind, play rewind, play rewind, play ...pretty much that whole Pala Ferry scene.

I agree! I loved that scene and his hands are nice. I also liked the way he walked when he got off the boat and the way he said hello again to Jack. You definately know not to mess with the guy.
I'm gonna watch that ferry scene again....

Love your avi!! Yes, ~the walk~ when he stepped off the boat! The way he padded around barefoot on the dock full of confidence and authority! I was dithering around lovesick for weeks after (oh, right, I still am).....lol And yes, that is another nice subtlety, the "Hello again" to Jack! The slight bow of his head, the almost indiscernible smirk that said, 'now the tables are turned, let's see how you fare in my charge, doctor!' Our Michael is so skilled as an actor. His smallest moves carry volumes of meaning!

There are other things I loved from the dock sequences, but the two you mentioned really struck me. I, too, had to watch the hand-motion part about five times. (Nice description, as well, of the hands dropping! If you can use that skill with language in your fanfic, well - it definitely won't be a waste of time ) Well, I was thinking about posting about this scene on the Fancrazy board… and I believe you all have inspired me to. See you there!

Another beautiful subtlety...
The scene in which Mr. Eko visits Henry in the armory. When he shakes Eko's hand, the movement of his right arm is limited, stiff. He holds it close to his body because his shoulder is injured.
Nice attention to detail, Michael :-)
