I know we've all heard that LOST will air 6 episodes starting in October, then take a hiatus till February.
But... does this mean the Cast goes on hiatus as well? Or do they keep on filming?
Last I read, Michael was overheard saying he was "moving to Hawaii" for a year.
Just wondering if he'll be staying there the whole time.
"Jumping Off Bridges" screenings are scheduled for the Fall. It would be awesome if he was planning to attend any of the events.

As I understand it, those few months of hiatus are essential for producing the series... it's either take a big chunk of time in the middle of the season, or do reruns as needed, apparently. They made it sound like producing everything on-schedule is incredibly hard - and I suppose it is, since it sounds like they're so - what word to use... interested in responding to viewer responses/complaints/etc. in the episodes. But Michael probably won't be needed the whole time... I hope he can make it too!! (amidala, your meeting michael - that would be insane upon insane!... anyway, you'll get to meet kat candler, likely, and that'll be neat in itself, besides her being an old friend of Michael's. )

I looked up "Lost hiatus" on Google news and I can't find anything about the shooting schedule, just the viewing schedule.
I'm torn between wanting him to be busy shooting and wanting him to come to NY for "Jumping Off Bridges"
Maybe I would RATHER he stay in Hawaii so he can do the voodoo that he do so well as Henry Gale. More time shooting means more time on screen!
Meeting him? sigh
I'm afraid it would break the spell. I am so inspired by him....well, the IDEA of him.
Meeting the real-live-living-breathing Michael might ruin it for me. I know, I know....sounds crazy.
I'm just really enjoying the 'wanting' and the tension that goes along with it. What if I meet him and he's just a regular guy? (He is most likely a mere mortal after all) How could he ever really live up to my image of him?
I dunno. Fate will have to decide.
Kat is a definite! She booked her flight. Montclair State University's Women's Center and Equity & Diversity Programs and....our latest sponsor...Wellness Education and the Drop-In Center!! Wooo hooo!
Next week I'll be meeting with our Dean of Students to solicit her sponsorship, then the Dean of our College of Education and Human Services.
Yes, I'm nervous, but this is what I mean about Michael inspiring me! Getting JOB shown at MSU (and not just for his sake, it's a WONDERFUL film with an important message about the necessity of coping with grief. and it shows the unique viewpoint of teens coping with death) is a biiiiiiiigggg undertaking. Alot of work for me and all the folks I'm involving.
The engine of enthusiasm has to keep churning! I need to protect my font of inspiration!!

More time shooting means more time on screen! No need to be so selfless. ( ) He lives in New York, so that's not a stretch, and plus, it's practically his duty to promote his work, especially since it's for an old friend AND his dedicated fan base! (yeah, we'll all immobilize in force and force him to attend - lol). But I see what you mean... I guess I'm selfishly hoping you'll be able to provide lots of juicy anecdotes for the rest of us. So maybe it's good that you'll probably only get to see Kat - she can provide you with anecdotes, and then everybody's happy As far as shooting.... I just got that from some interview with Damon/Carlton about the new scheduling, them explaining the rationale behind it, and how necessary it is for them either way, the big blocks of reruns or a hiatus. *shrug* EDIT: meant to add - great job on setting all this up! *applause* Very, very cool.

***EDIT: Awhile ago I posted some great S3 "spoilers" I'd run into, including one about who Henry is, only to come back later and find that their reliability had been majorly called into question. Sorry, guys - I'm gullible, yes, but these sounded reliable. Anyway - read them if you want. A couple of the points are already pretty sure things; the rest, who knows. Enjoy. themisfitishere.blogspot.com/ : "A new MOLE has contacted me from WITHIN the writing team of ABC LOST!! He has given me LOTS of new spoilers ABOUT season 3!! DO not read UNLESS you want to know!! More SPOILERS will be sent to me SOON!! - Fake HENRY real name is Thomas Radzinsky - Chris Shephard is both Jacks and Claires Father - Kate chooses Sawyer - Rose dies this season of Cancer - Sayid manages to rescue Kate & Sawyer but not Jack - There is no Walt/Michael in the mini-series start to the Season - There will be a Danielle flashback this season - Locke leg injury was never a physical injury - Libby's last name is Winchester - Libbys husband was killed in the decking accident that Hurley thought he caused - Libby was after Hurleys money as revenge - Locke was responsible for Shannons Fathers death - Karen DeGroot and DR Marvin will be found in the Flame Station - The Flame station is Partly underwater Episode Flashbacks E01 "A Tale of Two Cities" - KATE E02 "380 Baht" JACK E03 "Admission" LIBBY E04 "11-80" LOCKE E05 "Désolé" Danielle E06 "Last Man Standing" DESMOND E07 "Missing" Penny/Realtime off island E08 "An Englisgh Rose" EKO E09 "Remission" Rose/Bernard E10 "He can never know" Sun The BLOW us away MOMENT is!! "This is quite good actually. We have a flashback or so we think to Penny watching the news just after the phone call she recieved from the artic monitoring station. It shows that Flight 815 is still "missing" one week after its disappearence and the previous couple of months have actually taken place in a week. The time on the island runs a lot quicker than the outside world. It's a real wtf moment." I like the name Thomas for 'Henry.' And his being Radzinky (however it's spelled..). One theory is that Radzinsky edited out the "only use the computer for inputting the code" part because he, as one of the hatch members, had used it to hack into the Dharma network and learned about what was really going on, enabling him to create the super-detailed map and also spurring his escape and creation of the 'Others.' That would be pretty cool. It would also be sweet to see the Marvin Candle guy in flesh. I like him as an actor. And how much would it suck for Sayid to be able to RESCUE two out of the three new captives? They're with the Others now; one guy, even if he was a great soldier, etc., should not be able to carry that off.

Aaawwwwww, man!
I wanted him to be named after a philosopher, dammit!!
I was hoping for Thomas Hobbes.
But even if he IS a Thomas... how will they differentiate between Zeke/Tom and Henry/Tom and Claire's Thomas??
Oh the agony!!

The series will have its season premiere WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 4 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. After Oceanic Air flight 815 tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island, its survivors were forced to find inner strength they never knew they had in order to survive. But they discovered that the island holds many secrets, including a mysterious smoke monster, polar bears, a strange French woman and another group of island residents known as "The Others." The survivors have also found signs of those who came to the island before them, including a 19th century sailing ship called The Black Rock, the remains of an ancient statue and bunkers belonging to the Dharma Initiative, a group of scientific researchers. Jack, Kate and Sawyer open the season in captivity as prisoners of "The Others." Just who these "Others" are and what they want are primary questions Season Three will explore. Michael Emerson joins the regular cast in his ongoing role as Henry Gale, leader of "The Others." Romance looms on the horizon as Jack's interests veer towards a mysterious new woman, whose motives may be questionable. Sun and Jin will continue to celebrate their pregnancy - but is the child really Jin's? Locke and Sayid will band together with some of the other survivors and journey across the island in an attempt to free Jack, Kate and Sawyer. Charlie will attempt to return into the good graces of Claire and her baby, Aaron, but can he be trusted to stay clean and sober? The fates of Locke, Desmond and Mr. Eko in the aftermath of the implosion of the hatch are answered. Will Penny Widmore find the island and her long, lost love, Desmond, and can the survivors find a way to interact with the outside world? The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive. But as they have discovered during their 60-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even heroes have secrets. "Lost" stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Mr. Eko, Naveen Andrews as Sayid, Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond, Emilie de Ravin as Claire, Michael Emerson as Henry Gale, Matthew Fox as Jack, Jorge Garcia as Hurley, Josh Holloway as Sawyer, Daniel Dae Kim as Jin, Yunjin Kim as Sun, Evangeline Lilly as Kate, Elizabeth Mitchell as Juliet, Dominic Monaghan as Charlie and Terry O'Quinn as Locke. "Lost" was created by Jeffrey Lieber and J.J. Abrams & Damon Lindelof. Abrams, Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Jack Bender, Jeff Pinkner and Carlton Cuse serve as executive producers. "Lost," which is filmed entirely on location in Hawaii and premiered on September 22, 2004, is from Touchstone Television. ------------------------- So does this mean that Henry is HIM, the mysterious leader of the others? This press release sure makes it sound like he is.

"Romance looms on the horizon..." Lol - so very ominous! (Not necessarily inappropriate, though - Sayid/Shannon? ouch.) I also found this amusing, punctuation-wise: "Penny's long, lost love, Desmond..." Someone get these people a new promo writer!
Is it confirmed that "Him" is an Other, and more specifically their leader? I'm fuzzy on the details, but thought it was still pretty wide open.
If Henry is, cool. I'm all for anything that seemingly ups his IQ level (for those haters who insist that Henry is actually pretty dumb, considering the choices he's made. No, no, there's a logical explanation for all of it. I know it!)

Those Google alerts are coming fast and furious now that they're filming! www.boston.com/ae/tv/articles/2006/08/04/back_to_the_land_of_the_lost/Q. Did Desmond die? A Henry Ian Cusick is now a regular on the show, which means that Desmond probably didn't die when he turned the fail-safe key. Michael Emerson [Henry Gale] is also going to be a regular on the show this year.

Some more potential spoilers, but here's the only one pertaining to Henry (keep in mind- there's no source listed): "Episode 3.03: We're the Good Guys (Sawyer-centric) Airdate: October 18, 2006 More mysteries about the others are revealed. We find out how Sawyer has a strange connection with Henry Gale (Michael Emerson). ..." forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=3118603&st=1425 (last post) Sawyer?? Um, they were both conmen in another life? No idea. Maybe we see Henry in his flashback... ooh, chills

MICHAEL and CARRIE watch LOST, or rather, Mikey does housework while Carrie watches LOST... dvd.ign.com/articles/727/727613p1.htmlIGN: How familiar were you with Lost before you joined the cast? Emerson: It was on every Wednesday in our home because my wife is a Lostaholic, but I would watch most of them. I would be doing housework and stuff passing through the living room, so I was pretty well caught up on it, but once I got the job then of course I had to cram a little bit. IGN: Who would you say is your favorite character? Emerson: I know my wife likes Locke, but she likes Sayid too. I don't know - there's so many likeable characters to choose from. You've got to love Locke, though; he's a sturdy fellow and you feel sympathy with him. You feel like you're in good hands.

An earthquake in Hawaii??
I'm not sure where they're filming or where Michael's apartment is, but let's keep the LOST folks and all the island residents in our thoughts and prayers!
