Another thing I've long wondered about... I've been here for awhile, so I'm pretty sure this is a fruitless question. But does anyone have any idea what Michael said when it was his turn at the mike? *would die for a YouTube clip of it* If I'd have been a fan of that time, I'd have like cried ;D Getting on Broadway was huge, but winning an Emmy? That's like MAKING it making it. I wonder how he reacted. Was anybody here even a fan at that time point? Major props if ya were.

I don't know if there actually was a speech. There are no photos of him accepting the award during the actual aired Emmys, but there are photos of him presenting with Sally Field at the televised show, and photos of him getting the award 2 months earlier at the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards (which I'm pretty sure isn't televised). It seems like if he had given a speech on air, there would be photos. I'm sure you've seen the photos, but here are the links, anyway: www.michaelemerson.net/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=79www.michaelemerson.net/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=80

I think E! airs the creative Emmys nowadays, but I highly doubt they did that years ago.

A great award for michael. Its a shame he didnt get to enjoy it for long with the terrible event that happened days later. Lets hope this time around he wins and celebrates for longer.

Hi, isn`t it typical for Michael`s life??? He got a great price and no one is interested in because of the drama 11/9???There seem to be a bitter sweet taste of injustice in my opinion.... Martina

i think terry desverved it as much as michael.
ok so john wasn't his best @ start of season 3. but he was back on form near the end.
of course i wanted michael to win.
but rewatching season 1 and 2 terry totally desvered it. he should of got a few yrs.

Terri has not deserved this award, Michael was the best They both deserved it. It was a matter of a great apple or a great orange. Hmmm, I already had a great apple. (Michael won for his portrayal a serial murderer in The Practice.) Now, it is time to have the orange (Terry).

my internet connection is fine again, so.. Well, let me say so: how many people and so much opinions! And all of us are different, and our tastes are differ, too! And am afraid we can't over-persuade each other, if we have individual preferences. But I was completely for Michael

This interview in which Michael is recalling the Emmys shows yet again how silver-tongued he is. Thanks for whoever posted it, I hadnt read it before.

wow...i actually felt a little emotional reading that! it must have been so hard to deal with all those different emotions, shock and happiness at winning the emmy and then all those negative feelings tied up with 9/11 and aww bless going over his speech in his head and everything. but ah it brings back memories of when i got home from school that day and turned on the tv everything else seemed irrelevant
