They must be joking, especially about the writer putting sand in her tea.

What with reading about the actors being given DUI tickets or being dissatisfied about their job and fans saying negative things Michelle Rodriguez, it does confuse me as to who's joking and who's not or whether a journalist is fabricating lies because they deliberately want to destroy someone's career; I don't follow these stories, so whatever I hear from fans...
(looks at Edith's journal entry)
Now, I'm really confused; So, it's true Evangeline Lily doesn't like her job?
This is more difficult to figure out than "Lost."

I've read in several reports how she doesn't like the stardom (she's only a b-lister for heaven's sakes, but anyway) and all the hoo-haa that goes with being on a hit TV show. Said she doesn't like living in Hawaii. And has said that she plans to leave acting and do something else. She has talked about working for charities, so probably in an setting more to her liking she's probably happier and less complainy. And she should do that if she's that unhappy. No job is worth that much sorrow. That said …
I could understand if she got tossed into all this a bit young but she was 25 or so, not 16 nor 18. So it's not like someone's breathing down her throat and she's going all Britney on us. Plus she does have some talent. She can do some of her own stunts, and she has that look the guys all like and she's getting all that attention which she says she doesn't like then turns around does more lingerie shoots. So I just think "the lady doth protest too much."
I'm sure I would soon tire of living in Hawaii as well. And I'm not saying fame doesn't have its down side. But for the money she's making plus all the royalties and celeb endorsement income that comes with this, all her whining comes off a bit like crocodile tears to me. She's never really had to struggle as an actor as some of the others, like Michael especially to my understanding of things. The other actors seem to have a bead on exactly what this fame from affiliation to a hit TV show is all about. Five years, heck 3 years, after the last episode airs, unless those actors are situated in another hit movie to TV show, we won't be hearing about them all unless they get in trouble or die. So she's gonna be left alone soon enough. And if that's what she wants, God bless her.

I dont really buy it. I'm sure she complains sometimes, but everyone does. I guess it's just difficult to find something unattractive about her. Dont get me wrong, I'm not really her fan, in fact her character annoys me and sometimes she as a person annoys me too, but I just cant really believe it.

Think you might be right about the article, but she has said that she doesn't like Hawaii and acting all that much. She did it again on the Letterman show. To a certain degree that kind of talk is just chatty stuff but after a point, it begins to wear thin (like "freudian nightmare" sorry, Edith).
There was that juicy item that someone on Lost was disliked by everyone but that item never went very far or at least I lost interest. The actors are all very diplomatic. If you listen carefully you can sort of detect that they have their favorites things and people and those that aren't. But really, why wouldn't they? Everyone has their likes and dislikes about their work.

if Evie didnt like her job THAT much surely she wouldnt be doing it ?!! i guess everyone has their bad days with regards to their job. i think those comments from various magazines are blowing the situation out of proportion.a lot of media coverage is less than accurate lol

In any event, this confirms my theory on why she's on "Lost:" It's the babe factorWell, can't blame anyone really. I mean, feet to the fire, I admit that after Ben's wonderfulness, Sawyer's a good reason to watch.
