Hi, I`m an occupational therapist with focus on geriatrics medicine/geriatrics and Alzheimer disease. After school I studied the history of art and theatre studies, but without a degree, because of motherhood. (these studies were theoretical , it must be the opposite Michael was learning) As a single parent I had to change my kind of occupation, but that`s ok, you can`t stay away from your child during the night, because of a theatre premiere, if you know, what Ì`m talking about. I made my choice. My love for good performances stayed Actually I `m out of work, my child was ill, so it´s just right. Martina

Well, I was going to school to become an elementary school teacher (I graduate this May) but then all of a sudden, I changed my mind. In order to become a teacher, you have to double major (I am majoring in elementary education and psychology). Now, I want to work in a psych lab and do research on speech and speech perception. It's so interesting to do experiments and come up with new ideas and theories. Right now, as one of my classes, I am part of a research team (a psychology internship) and we are running experiments on the computer to see how people use both visual and auditory together to perceive speech. The results are very interesting. It is something I could do and be happy doing. I just am not into teaching anymore and I feel burnt out and I haven't even began teaching yet. With the research I am happy and enjoy what I'm doing. I am excited and can't wait to get a job (not just as a class) and do this. I would have to go to grad school and then eventually get my PhD. Most people who do this do research and also teach at a college or university so that is part of my long term goal.

Hi,
to be a student is never boring, everything you are in touch is a step into your future. I loved my experiment while I was at the university....
Ethic philosophy is a wonderful theme. IT`s no wonder you are a fan of Michael, giggle.
Greetings
Martina

When you study philosophy you are learning yourself and you are exploring your mind and soul. After all knowing yourself is the biggest and most important step to do in order to see the whole picture.

I believe the univerisity of Bologna is the oldest in Italy (it was founded in A.D.1088), and that's why it it has such an abounding number of courses; apart from that, it is historically specialized in literary faculties, like mine, while other ones, like Medicine or Architecture, are a lot better in other cities.

@ Robyn - Aww Earth Sciences sounds great too! Earth sciences IS great!! ;D im a total nature/outdoors freak so its perfect for me lol. we study Volcanoes and tectonics, astronomy, conservation, ecology, climate change, glaciers and mass extinctions...amongst other things lol. they are the exiting bits, we have boring bits too like soil and pollen analysis. thats soooooo friggin zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz lol but we go on loads of fieldtrips to do research etc and experience different cultures. we went to a really isolated village in the spanish mountains in early september, was pretty amazing ;D in year 3 we go to Death Valley in the US and in june/july il probly be in Norway doing dissertation research ;D
