... Wow, it looks like I am practically a clone of HenryGaleFan (except I'm not from the UK)!
So, you know the drill... girl watches TV show, girl becomes bored with its dulled second season, but then notices the appearance of an intiguing supporting character. Girl is intrigued. Girl becomes more so, to the point where she considers him the only good part of the show. The finale: girl sees Interesting Supporting Character revealed in full enigmatic, sexy glory, and her jaw drops accordingly. The end.
My family found it - funny, at the least, that I was so attracted to this "fifty-year-old man!" (as my sister put it; rather insulting, isn't it?!) I headed to the Internet to a) begin my Michael Emerson addiction and b) see if anyone else out there in the wide, wide world of the 'net had the same reaction as me. I figured if I couldn't find anything, then that would mean that I'm rather strange.
And here all of you are ;D I wish I'd known of this site earlier!

Welcome to the group. ;D And if you're strange, so am I. This sort of thing happens to me all the time where I find I am one of the few if only people to like someone. Don't know if anyone of you have seen tales From th eNeverending Story, but I am drawn to the guy who plays Gmork.

Thanks for the welcome I haven't seen it, red, but I know what you mean. Personally, I liked the assassin in In the Line of Fire (John Malkovich). It's very much a traditional Michael role - the guy is cree-py, but acted brilliantly (I think he got an Oscar nomination for it), and attractive in a kind of quirky way. The two actors do remind me of each other.
