...not to the boards, but to posting. I guess I've stayed quiet long enough! I was delighted to find out there were so many others out there who appreciated Henry/Ben/Michael's charms - proof that no matter what my roommate thinks, I am *not* alone! I first became aware of him when I was watching the season 2 DVDs (this is the first season I am watching "live") and it took about 10 minutes of screen time, if that, to be intrigued, and maybe another 10 to be infatuated... And when I went to IMDB and looked him up, I discovered that I'd actually seen him *live* a few years ago in The Iceman Cometh! Now if only he would do some more theater in NY...maybe next hiatus! Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, and I'm looking forward to hanging out with you all and getting through these next unbearably long three months! Joann

Welcome, welcome, Joann! ;D You lucky duck, having seen Michael on stage! It's unfortunate that you didn't know more of his work at that time, but it's still cool enough to get the rest of us jealous.

Welcome Joann - yup, I´m jealous (even more so because I don´t think I will ever be able to see him on stage), lucky you to live in (or near) NY

Yup. I'll join the jealousy wagon. I went to New York for the first time just this past summer and didn't see anyone, let alone the most beautiful Michael!

I made up my mind that, since I live 5 hours away from NYC, if Michael is on stage on Broadway, I'm going. (And he better not have an understudy on that night.)

Thanks for the warm welcome!!! I hope Michael does do something very soon (and hopefully not another bleak, depressing, three-hour-long Eugene O'Neill play) and you all make it here to see him.
Red, I am a LOTR fan but of the movies not the books - I tried to read the books but Tolkien's style is just too wordy for my taste. Was the name Edain in the books? I know he tapped a lot of Celtic mythology...(in Irish mythology she is a mortal woman who falls in love with the king of the Underworld)

I know he tapped a lot of Celtic mythology...(in Irish mythology she is a mortal woman who falls in love with the king of the Underworld) I enjoy the book, it's all one book or at least was meant to be, and the movies. I, like our Michael, love words and consequently love Tolkien who was after all a Linguistics professor. If you think LOTR is difficult you should try the Silmarillion. It tells of the early days of Middlearth. I eventually got through it all, but it was a struggle. I'm not sure where I saw the word Edain. It could have been in either or both books. I'm not sure what it was referring to, a person or group of people. It reminds me of Dunedain, which are of course Aragorn's people. Did you happen to get the extended versions of the movies because they explain a bit more and have some great scenes.
