We've been a little ambiguous about this in the past, just saying in our Welcome/Rules thread to respect Mr. Emerson's privacy. The admins have discussed this and decided the best decision is to expand on that statement to create this rule: The Michael Emerson Fan Board discourages talking about Michael's family or re-posting family pictures. We understand that many things can be found out about people by peeking around on the Internet, and it may not seem like any big deal, and that's why this is a bit of a sticky subject. The point is, if it requires peeking, it doesn't need to be here. Michael and his wife, Carrie, may be in the spotlight, but the rest of the family has not necessarily chosen to be. If Michael (or Carrie) talks about something, then it's okay to post. Relevant biographical information about Michael (including family information that Michael has released in the form of interviews) can be found on Edith's site, so unless more information is disclosed by Michael or his family, further discussion here isn't necessary. It is okay to quote or discuss things Michael has said about his family. It is okay to quote or discuss news articles or interviews with members of his family. Other forms of gathering information, or reposting pictures from a family member's website, are discouraged. If you have any questions, please reply to this thread and we'll try to clarify!

No questions here. We admire how different Michael is from other celebs, and how he attracts a fan base that's also different from the ones that others celebs have. I suppose we would be no different than other fans, and Michael would ultimately be no different than other celebs, if he had fans that were too obssesive and too willing to dig into every little corner of his. That's all well and good for the people that have no shame and have a ton of stupid skeletons to hide, but not for Michael, who has none that are worth our time.
