Geek that I am, I got excited about this. I just read that Carrie is going to be performing in the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer. "[Carrie] Preston will be Phillipa and Matt Letscher will play the role of Duncan in Roger Rees and Rick Elice's Double Double, running on the Main Stage from August 16 through August 27." - www.broadway.com/gen/Buzz_Story.aspx?ci=531288- WTFestival.orgThose who saw Straight-Jacket may remember that Carrie was in that with Matt Letscher. They also performed together in The Rivals on Broadway. Anyway. Roger Rees became the Artistic Director of the Festival in 2005. Double Double is a thriller he worked on with Eric (Rick) Elice in the '80s. This is going to be the US premiere of the play. So, cool gig for Carrie. ;D

Update: "Double Double will star Matt Letscher (The Rivals, Proposals) and Jennifer Van Dyck (Hedda Gabler, Dancing at Lughnasa, Two Shakespearean Actors). Carrie Preston, previously announced for the production, withdrew for a television opportunity." - www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=11398Aw. A television opportunity, though? At least we'll be able to see that.

Hopefully we'll be able to see it!!
She has said that she does one pilot a year and not all of them make it to the airwaves.
I hope it's a success!!

Patrick just mentioned on his blog that Carrie's going to be on Law and Order: SVU, in the third episode of season...8, I believe it is? NBC.com says the new season starts Tuesday, September 19th...so if I were to guess a date for Carrie's episode, it'd be logical to say Tuesday, October 3rd.
Will add it to the calendar here when we know for sure.
