I agree with you about Daniel. They set it up like he was basically institutional prior to joining the mission, so what's with that? I feel like if they gave some explanation we'd maybe have a little more understanding for his character. Right now he just seems like a cartoon, and that's disappointing - I feel like it's the writers here.
Kung Fu Ben - I love your description there! It's so on point.
Smokey - I want to believe that there is a deep connection between Ben, Smokey, and Jacob. *crosses fingers* I thought it was pretty weak that Smokey didn't actually kill Keamy and his crew. I mean seriously - it threw them around like rag dolls in a dino's mouth and they just have bruises....but I guess if so many people can survive a nasty plane crash on the island, some jocks can survive a monster made of dirt.
