He's such a proper gentleman, isn't he??
And he gets the "your" vs. "you're" distinction, which is sexy...to me.
I like the way he refers to our ...um...affection for him as a "celebration" and calls it 'having a good time'.
He is adorable.
Polite.
Intelligent.
A Luddite for sure.
Too bad he didn't send us a few xxxxs or ooos but we DID get an Aloha!!
Thanks Edith!!

As a professional editor, I can tell you that his writing is the type that I dream about getting from my authors. He knows what a unit modifier is and, furthermore, knows how to use it. He knew to put a comma before the "but," something a lot people don't know to do. All in all, his sentence structures were perfect.

I got a message on my cell phone yesterday night, 1 am, from Isobel, that Michael wrote something to his fans on forum - and omg! I jumped half-sleeping from my bad, trying to make it to the computer unconsciously just to read it LOL!! And I was SO happy reading it, I went to bed again with a smile on my face (ekhm....yeah,big smile thinkink about Mr Emerson ^_^). It is so great message, and I so glad that he in some way knows about people here that adore him and his acting talent I love the way he wrote that it is surprise to him - I like it about him that he is not like those actors that thinks they are everything and the best, thinking they deserve everything, conceited. He is never like that Thank You, Michael for those few words for us ^_^ And thank You, Edith!!!! I love You, I just love YOU

Yay! That made me happy too....
I have never known an actor or celebrity that appreciated the fans that much as to write a personal message like that.
That was a sweet thing he did, and I appreciate him so much more. I wish I could meet this guy and tell him how cool he is LOL'
He is so humble....*Sigh*
You don't find humility amongst actors anymore

I happened to meet one of my great heroes (a writer) a few years ago. At first I was very shy and could hardly talk to him at all. He told me you should never be afraid to write what you feel to those you admire, and confessed that (at 84!) he still wrote fan letters himself. I wish I were able to do this. I'm not - but I'm so glad Edith is! And I'm so glad Mr Emerson is as sweet in life as he is on screen...

Who is the writer? he is writing fan letters at 84?? Ok, I like him already:) And "you should never be afraid to write what you feel to those you admire" - this sentence is beautiful, I'm going to finally write To ME myself, and I will remember this sentence while writing

It was Ray Bradbury - a writer I've admired since I was nine years old...

This is so cool. And his printing is so readable. But how can someone so intelligent not be able to use the computer? Someone should get him a Mac and maybe one of us could volunteer some time to teach him how to use it.
I belong to another fanclub (Peter Wingfield -a Welsh actor) and he is like Michael (intelligent, a gentleman and does not have an ego) only not as good an actor I must admit. But then it’s hard to match Michael in acting ability. I’ve been to a five Highlander conventions and met him and he is so grounded. I think when you struggle in young adulthood to support yourself you develop a true self esteem that keeps you from becoming pretentious and self important later in life when you do find fame.

That was a great letter! It was very well thought out and that was why he felt compelled to respond! I wish you had asked him my question though, which was did he and Carrie have any plans to have a child? I'm glad he sent these wonderful words to the board! I'm glad he signs autographs and sends them so quickly! With some celebrities, they either never answer at all, send a form letter which asks you to buy from their website stuff including the autograph you wanted or they take forever to write to you! Granted sometimes stars can't answer right away but the ones who don't answer at all are very frustrating! AND Michael will sign multiple times where others won't do that! He's such a nice man! And he loved my photoshop- made pic of him and Terry! I'm so glad! Thanks for my autographs!

Actually, I'm apart of another board, The Kevin Durand Forums, the guy actually has a registered account on the board and he is so cool because he gets on and welcomes new members and answers questions for everyone. We're actually having a chat this Saturday with him. I wish we could get a chat with Michael but considering he's not good with technology I highly doubt if we could. It's always best to wish, isn't it? Thanks again Edith, Patrick and Michael for everything. Kate
