Evangeline Lilly has hinted she will quit 'Lost' unless the show's fans stop hassling her. The actress is growing weary of the constant attention she receives from followers of the programme and admits she sometimes considers walking away from her role as sexy fugitive Kate in the hit series. Lilly, who is dating her 'Lost' co-star Dominic Monaghan, said: "I am an incredibly private person, and it's so exhausting to me that everywhere I go people know me or think they know me. If I could act and make the income I make and be anonymous, I would never want to leave the job." This is not the first time Lilly has complained about her fame. She previously admitted she would like to go on holiday to a remote island where no one would recognise her because she is so sick of being hounded by fans and the media wherever she goes. She said: "I want to go somewhere like Mongolia or Timbuktu. Someplace where they don't watch 'Lost'!" www.azcentral.com/ent/celeb//articles/0102lilly.html

OK, Evie Lilly is too whiny for me. She should've realized what she was going to go through when she signed the contract for those thousands of dollars.

Kate is one of the main characters and LOST fans are so devoted. therefore, fan mail and all that stuff will never end. i think she is very lucky! but since i am not famous i guess i don't know how it feels...........

OK, Evie Lilly is too whiny for me. She should've realized what she was going to go through when she signed the contract for those thousands of dollars. Here's my opinion on the whole matter. I don't think the actors or actresses may have known exactly what their roles may have been when they signed on. I do agree that if a person signs on for a part with JJ Abrams, that your name will get noticed. I've read somewhere that before she had signed on, she had minor to no roles. I'm guessing she wanted to get her foot in the door and didn't realize what may lie behind it. Sometimes, those types of things happen. I also think that perception goes a long way, especially in the entertainment industry. By acting or doing certain things, it will determine how people see you. It may also make them want more than what you may want to give. By doing certain photo shoots and interviews, you may put off something you may not realize. Kind of like a 13 year dressing up like Britney Spears and wanting the attention and not liking where it goes in the end. That's just part of it. I think this may have happened to her and wasn't ready for it. This is just my opinion. I do believe a person has the right to their own privacy, it's just that in the world today people get a little too wrapped up in the television/movies that they watch to really know that it's all just for entertainment. To tell a story and play with our imaginations. I do think that some stars have ruined this for others by attracting a certain kind of attention but it's just the nature of the beast. But on a final note, perception goes a long way as to how things affect your daily life. In any type of career. She may be a really nice person for all I know, I just think there may have been a few wrong turns done on her part. But learning is life. Hopefully she can figure out what it is that she really wants and be happy. PS - I also want to say that I hope that whatever I may have posted on this board or on another site does not come across in a way that seems invasive or frustrating to Michael and his family. I would not wish that upon them.

I like your rambling ;D PS - I also want to say that I hope that whatever I may have posted on this board ... does not come across in a way that seems invasive or frustrating to Michael and his family. I would not wish that upon them. Ditto that. We are a pretty respectful bunch here, I think. Sometimes I worry about the occasional posting of family pictures of Michael from Patrick's Flickr album...I know they're out there for anyone to see, anyway, but...I don't know. It's probably just because I kind of feel guilty 'cause I mentioned Patrick's website to begin with. But really, I don't think Michael could have a better group of fans than he does. Good folks around here, good folks. As for the original topic, Evangeline... meh, whatever. Unless and until Michael's done with the show, I'm not particularly concerned with who leaves. =/ There are people I'd miss, but Michael makes the show, in my opinion.

You are right. The most important - that Michael remained with us as it is possible longer!!!

I watched the show from day one and will continue to watch it even if Michael leaves but god I hope he does not! When he came on, it made the show SO much more interesting! I really like the chemistry between him and Locke.
