This item was posted by alicou22 on the FOX Den over at the Fuselage on June 14th. I asked her for more details on it - I'm guessing she means Soho in NYC, and not London?? But I'll try to find out more! "I met Michael Emerson today! I was really freaked out at 1st....it was a little creepy....like it was Ben on the streets of Soho. But....he was so nice, shook my hand & talked about how & hot & sticky it was out. Then he said he was going to find a "an old fashioned gentleman's drink" & should my hand again. How cool is that? And why couldn't it have been Matthew Fox? Actually...I think I would have hade a heart attack if I saw Jack walking down the block!" Such a gentleman, eh???

"old fashioned gentleman's drink".. what does it mean? Vodka? or milk? Why did he say this to the unknown woman at the street? Guys, I don`t get it.
P.S. my heart is bleeding, I love him so much, but I`ll never have the chance to meet him like this at the street, snifff...

And why couldn't it have been Matthew Fox? I think there's only a couple people here that would be remotely thinking that if we were in this person's position.

I don't think I would prefer to meet Foxy, but I certainly wouldn't be unhappy to meet Foxy!

"old fashioned gentleman's drink".. what does it mean? Vodka? or milk? I'm not really a drinker, so I have no idea, except maybe something that isn't strong? I did a search for "gentleman's drink" and came up with websites and people saying it was gin, vodka, cocktail, whiskey and water, or gin and tonic. I only know red wine, white wine, and pina colada with rum. Why did he say this to the unknown woman at the street? Guys, I don`t get it. It's small talk; When fans meet him, Michael likes telling them a bit about what he's doing or where he's going. I guess it's his way of joking around and having a friendly chat.

It's stories like this that always make me think I would totally hurl if I just happened upon Michael Emerson somewhere. Like I couldn't physically take it and would explode out of my face. Gross, but true.

I forgot to add that I interpreted Michael's, "having an old gentleman's drink," as using wordplay; Not only saying he was having a "gentleman's drink," (apparently a nickname for some type of drink) but also making a joke about his age, adding "old" to it, calling himself an "old gentleman."

Gross, but true. ROFL!! Poor Michael! Can you imagine the look on his face? You know he would try so hard to be polite and gentlemanly about it...
