Well, if the Shat wins, then I will know civilization as we know has come to an end. Although I'm sure he will be decent about it. I do like the Shat. I just don't want him to win this year. Danson is the darling of the Hollywood elite. So that makes sense too. Danson: 2 danger trophies. The Shat: 2 danger trophies. Michael: 1 danger trophy. And it appears neither Slattery or Ivanek have any danger trophies So if Michael wins, that would make the field a full house.  |

True, but this is the first time he's really had anything big since then. So he has the additional buzz of being a comeback story.

Well, two Emmys and three Golden Globes ain't bad for being shunned. And I don't recall him being shunned. Guess it's different interpretations. Considering they (Danson and Whoopi) both are now on top-ranked shows, whatever it was didn't hurt them.

It's this Sunday, isn't it?? I'll be watching the Emmy's with three other Lost fans, but they just don't feel the same way I do about Michael. If he wins, there will be no way to contain my fangirl joy. They'll just have to deal with it!!  EDIT: I meant to say ' when' he wins, not ' if'!!!! |

I'm spending my remaining pre-Emmy waiting time with two thoughts- trying not to worry that Michael might lose, and imagining what he might say in an acceptance speech if he does win.

I need to find out, if they show it on German TV, I'm not sure. But I guess, I will learn the resluts here and hopefully Michaels speech will be on youtube or so (and there will be a Michael Emerson speech, I'm sure of it  ) |

I got curious and looked around...apparently at that time he also appeared in blackface at Whoopi's Friar's Club roast and gave a speech that upset a lot of people. Even though Whoopi was the one who wrote it. The things you learn on the internets.  GAH, six days left. Can't believe it's here. I can 'member way back July it seemed so long to wait.
