Tonight I came up with a very interesting theory regarding the Flame station. What if this station is a setup? Some sort of lure? Just as it's name implies. One thing I know is that something about this place doesn't seem to add up with the story that we were given by Patchy. Something isn't right and we haven't been told the whole truth about it's purpose. As I walk you through the various rooms, I point out some interesting things regarding the station. I also provide to you some screencaps to match my thoughts and theory. So please feel free to stop on by and check out my theory! It's called "Inside The Flame" Here's the link: www.katiescrazyride.com/definitely-lost/

I posted a similar comment to your site. Interesting. Your theory brings to mind the DHARMA Station that was so heavily guarded when they took Michael Dawson hostage (3 minutes). It was an empty place.

I've said it before somewhere that the name of the station cracked me up, in light of the show's finale. Too bad for them (whoever they are) it didn't work as planned.
… or did it? brwahahaha

The flame went up in flames...IRONYYYYY! That's exactly what the writer's like to use! They like to play with us and I really think this is one of them.

There is so much symbolism in this episode alone! I also think that the symbolism of light and dark, and science vs Nature/intuition is also packed into the show.

I can't believe this! I just got burned pretty bad on another message board by someone who was saying that my writing is arrogant. This person said that I'm writing as if I was making people like my theory. I wrote back saying explaining my reasoning behind my words but I'm sure it won't matter. I don't think that my writing comes across like that but what do you guys think? If I do, please let me know. Here's the post: forums.buddytv.com/showthread.php?t=6897

Here's the post: forums.buddytv.com/showthread.php?t=6897Basically, the person was arguing about using the "royal we." However, that particular essay that you wrote would have been difficult to write in the passive voice. Maybe you could have used "one" instead of "we" or you could have said, "I noticed that...". But these are stylistic differences. I think the person who sent you the bad criticism was just not very aware to read the content and not the style. It's part of the pain of being an author, celebrity, or anyone who allows his or her “face” revealed for the public. You will be slapped by the most iniquitous people. Don’t give up. I think that you had an interesting theory.

Thanks Edith!
When I was writing this, I was trying to do more of a show and tell while bringing the reader along. Like you said, it is a bit difficult and it was the content that I was trying to put out there.

Katie, I hate to tell you this, for every 50 or so great reviews, you'll get one bad. Unfortunately, the bad one stays with you. It has tentacles that are hard to get rid of.

Eh, I'm nowhere near as smart as you guys when it comes to writing and expressing my thoughts verbally. You are gifted!
Why would someone nitpick yer' writing style when all you were trying to do was explain a theory. I'd tell em' to shove off.
